Characteristics of ADHD

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) refers to disorders of the nervous system. Neurological disorders are based on prerequisites of a neurological nature. Preconditions most often appear during childhood and are detrimental to personal, social, academic, or professional growth.

They are usually associated with stopping ongoing responses after feedback on errors, difficulties in acquiring, maintaining, or applying special skills or sets of information, problems with inhibition of proponent responses (Faraone & Larsson, 2019). Although ADHD is considered a childhood disorder and begins in childhood, underlying neurophysiological differences and behavioral symptoms may persist into adulthood. Due to its effects, ADHD is considered a risk factor for car accidents (Sadeghi et al., 2020). Therefore, this disease can affect not only its carrier but also other people.

For me, this is a very important topic since I have ADHD. On the ADHD topic, I would ask several critical questions at once. First, has there been enough case studies where cognitive performance is monitored to draw conclusions? Second, is there a single set of questions or statements that would indicate all of the symptoms of ADHD? Are there statistical studies on the relationship between diagnosis and traffic accidents? In general, the topic is well studied and developed by various scientists. There are both qualitative and quantitative analyses based on primary and secondary research.

To narrow down the information for a more detailed study, adults and children can be divided into two groups. Additionally, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment can be studied separately. It is necessary to study the number of traffic incidents when it was revealed that the cause was precisely attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. After that, an assessment of such cases should be carried out, and the danger of the presence of ADHD among drivers should be identified.
