The problem of tree cutting has become massive in my local neighborhood, and people started protesting to protect nature and save the environment from the such problem as climate change. The local mayor has become the leader of many protests, and his role model invited activists to share their thoughts regarding the issue. The message provided by the mayor included information regarding the connection of the living species with humans and how a person’s life can worsen if some animal is extinct. Additionally, water and air quality are lower when trees are cut (Souza et al., 2018). Volunteers in the tree-cutting protests work closely with other community activists in the environmental field. The main mission of these collaborations is to attract the attention of the governmental authorities and ensure that more solutions are applied to the existing problems. The model of community leadership does not promote competition, and it is important for individuals to work together to achieve one common goal. Therefore, the mayor in the neighborhood is inviting more people from other states and building strong relationships with other leaders.
Because the protests are voluntary, not all people have a chance to attend a meeting and make their contribution. It is not mandatory to participate in all events, and some people prefer skipping protests. Therefore, the problem in mobilization appears. The plan to attract more people was not created, but high-quality marketing promotion can help to attract a more massive audience to participate in the protests and save the surrounding world. The participation of individuals living in the neighborhood is crucial as there is more chance to be seen by authorities and change the reality.
