Introduction
The political history and the evolution of the United States have been profoundly impacted by the elections of American delegates throughout the nation’s history. A sizeable portion of the population in this nation holds the view that the political system in the United States is wholly dysfunctional and nonsensical and that it is hopeless to attempt to repair it in any way. There is still voter intimidation in the United States, even though the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was established in 1965 (Martin & Sharma, 2022). This is because states are placing roadblocks in the path of voters, such as restricting voter registration and implementing strict requirements for photo identification at the polls. As a direct consequence of this, exercising our citizenship rights, which includes the right to vote, has evolved into one of the most influential authorities in the annals of United States history.
However, with this power comes the obligation to analyze the available possibilities and arrive at conclusions informed by critical thinking. This responsibility is especially crucial when selecting persons to serve in public office because of the significance of this decision (Martin & Sharma, 2022). In today’s fast-paced world, it is becoming harder to be an educated citizen voter without dedicating much time to reading articles to uncover real and trustworthy information. In light of those mentioned earlier, the research paper intends to analyze the political atmosphere of my state and electoral district over the last 25 years. This will include the investigation of Louisiana state senators and a United States Representative, among other topics.
Political Background of Congressional District
There are two senators and six representatives from Louisiana serving in the United States Congress from the state of Louisiana. One of the fifty states that make up the United States is called Louisiana. As a result, the prevalent impression that Louisiana is more progressive than the majority of other states have remained over the years. According to the data made public by the Louisiana State Board of Elections, the number of registered Republicans in the state was 521,000 more than the number of registered Democrats in the state. In addition, Republicans now hold five of Louisiana’s six congressional seats, making this state a solid red. Every other statewide job, including the governorship and both chambers of the state legislature, is controlled by Republicans.
The only exception is the office of the attorney general. The Republicans emerge victorious across the board as a consequence of this development, winning 56% of the vote in total. Over the last decade and a half, Republicans have held the office of governor of the state. They have retained their majority in the state legislature (Martin & Sharma, 2022). It would seem that the Republican Party continues to hold power at the state level, even though there have only been a few times in the history of the state where it has supported a Democratic presidential candidate.
Political Background of Louisiana
John Bel Edwards has taken steps to reduce the size of the federal government as part of his campaign. These steps include reducing unnecessary expenditures, increasing control over federal agencies, and making the budgeting process more open and transparent. John Bel Edwards has not only made efforts to bring the organizations described above to our region, but he has also been successful under his leadership. John Bel Edwards has been a member of the Appropriations Committee for about fifty percent of the nearly forty years that have passed since the committee’s inception.
During that time, he has led either the chairmanship or the vice chairmanship of a total of five distinct subcommittees. Distinguished Voting Member John Bel Edwards has taken steps to reduce the size of the federal government by reducing expenditure that is seen to be wasteful, improving control over federal agencies, and making the process of budgeting more open and accessible to the people. John Bel Edwards has not only been essential in bringing the organizations indicated above to our region, but he has also been involved in bringing many more organizations here.
How Representatives and Senators Come to Power
After completing his undergraduate education, he enlisted in the Army National Guard. While serving his country in Louisiana and North Carolina, he finally achieved the rank of staff sergeant after working his way up through the ranks. Shortly after being elected as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Pulaski and Rockcastle counties in Louisiana, John Bel Edwards resigned from his position in the Army National Guard and entered private practice (Martin & Sharma, 2022).
In counties, investigating and prosecuting criminal cases was his job. In 1969, he started serving as the Commonwealth’s Attorney, and he remained in that capacity until 1980 when he was elected to the House of Representatives. John Bel Edwards has received a 91% positive grade from the Christian Coalition about his politically conservative voting history (Martin & Sharma, 2022). On the other hand, the Human Rights Campaign does not support him in any way, revealing a great deal about the organization’s position.

John Bel Edwards is against the prosecution of anti-gay hate crimes, protections for same-sex marriage, enabling LGBT individuals to adopt children, and the prohibition of workplace discrimination based on one’s sexual orientation. Additionally, he is against the protections for same-sex marriage. In addition to this, he is against the idea of allowing members of the LGBT community to adopt children. You should never engage in sexual activity with a man like you do with a woman because it is unethical to do so. If you do so, you will be committing sexual misconduct (Leviticus 18:22).
According to Leviticus 20:13 of the King James Bible Online, it is a filthy deed for a man to have sexual intercourse with another man in the same manner as it is for a man to have consensual sex with a woman. This is because a man’s genitalia is considered less pure than a woman’s. This is because having sexual relations with a guy other than one’s partner is seen as equivalent to having sexual relations with a woman (Martin & Sharma, 2022). They have earned the right to die in such a way as they deserve since they will be accountable for their deaths.
John Bel Edwards is in favor of a ban on the provision of government funding to organizations that perform abortions as well as a ban on the inclusion of coverage for abortions in federal health insurance plans, except in situations in which the mother’s life is in danger due to a pregnancy caused by rape, incest, or another violent crime. In these cases, the ban would not apply. Because of his stance against research on embryonic stem cells and human cloning, the National Right to Life Committee has awarded him a score of 100 percent. This recognition comes as a result of his viewpoint. On the other side, he was awarded a perfect score by the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League in the United States. In Exodus 20:13, the Bible clarifies that it violates the law to kill another person willfully.
The Louisiana Republican Senate delegation is led by Bill Cassidy, the group’s most senior member. Republican Bill Cassidy has held the position he now has since 1985. He was elected to that position. Bill Cassidy was the leader of the Minority Caucus from 2007 to 2015, and it is now planned for him to take over as the leader of the Majority Caucus from 2015 until 2021. (Martin & Sharma, 2022).
Bill Cassidy became just the second person from the state of Louisiana to occupy the post of party leader in the Senate when he was elected to the Senate. Bill Cassidy, a politician who is recognized for his conservative beliefs and who was considered a pragmatic and moderate Republican, held these ideas throughout his career. Bill Cassidy, along with a number of other people who are opposed to Obamacare, has been at the vanguard of the battle that is being waged against the program. Skeptics of climate change are those who do not believe that it is necessary to take action to mitigate the effects of global warming and the proliferation of weapons.
Since 2011, John Neely Kennedy has been serving in the United States Senate as the junior senator for the state of Louisiana. He was elected to this position in 2008. Since 2011, he has been in charge of this department. John Neely Kennedy established a charitable foundation in Southern Louisiana that, prior to his election to the Senate, gave free eye operations to low-income people and families. The organization is named after John Neely Kennedy. In addition to this, he has been a member of Lion’s Club International for the past 17 years, during which time he has worked his way up through the ranks to become the organization’s president. During this time, he has been able to make a significant impact on the lives of people all over the world (Martin & Sharma, 2022).
Lion’s Club International is a humanitarian organization that helps individuals safeguards their vision by giving them access to corrective lenses and surgical treatments. This assistance is provided by providing people with access to corrective lenses. John Neely Kennedy was a Republican candidate who ran against Donald Trump for the presidency of the United States of America in 2016, but he ultimately finished fifth in the election and decided to withdraw from the campaign in February. John Neely Kennedy was one of the candidates who ran against Donald Trump.
Conclusion
Elections of delegates play a pivotal role in the US since it determines the overall country’s growth and shapes the political history. The US political system is focused on addressing the process of selecting the delegates, with the two political parties, democratic and republican demonstrating fairness and balance. The diplomatic system of the US is deprived of the fundamental flaws that make it cumbersome to enhance the efficient election of delegates.
The US politics experiences challenges that are irrational and dysfunctional, thus depriving it of conducting the effective election of the representatives. The diplomatic background of Louisiana thrive through federal government campaigns championed to lower expenditures with the focus of taking control of the federal agencies. Political system of Louisiana advanced via a transparent budgeting process that involved government agencies in making correct decisions. Louisiana’s administrative environment is shaped by humanitarian actions that include helping low-income people have access to treatment and surgical care, thus improving their health.
