Modern technologies change the world, influencing and improving the life of each human: one of such vectors of improvement are home building and maintenance. It is an important area, as homes are crucial for people’s lives, and making them more durable, clean, safe, and warm increases the life quality drastically. In that way, technologies open many possibilities for home improvement, making house building easier and life in them more comfortable.
There are three main fields where technologies have brought changes in the home improvement industry: home construction facilitating, safety, and comfortability. The building process becomes much easier with the usage of technologies: machines may do the central part of the work, while humans become freed from the hardships of this process (Spinka). Their main job, in that way, is to make the home design and draft it, while technologies will help to implement the project in reality. The usage of virtual and augmented reality technologies makes the design process easier and more effective. The architect may see the house before it is built and include all the details they want. Increased safety is another way to improve life quality: when machines work instead of humans, the risk of their injuries becomes lower (Spinka). The technological process allows producing materials with better endurance that will serve longer and are more reliable. Technologies also help people live more comfortably in their homes, providing smart home devices that can be controlled by gadget apps or even by voice.
Thus, one can conclude that technologies mostly positively influence the home improvement industry, providing extensive opportunities to make home construction and living in them easier. Stronger materials and machine usages facilitate home constructions and make them more endurable. The construction process is much safer when machines are working instead of humans. Smart home technologies help people control and adjust their homes, and all together, those technologies improve life quality in society.
