Intellect and will go hand in hand. One can do nothing with intellect if he or she has no will. On the other hand, if there is someone who is willing but does not have an intellect that is considered to be dangerous. Intellect is to the mind, and the will is to the heart when these two work together, some people can achieve beyond what they can reach. Through the intellect, human beings are capable of perceiving different ideas. Intellect does not make the final decisions on these ideas (Albel 175).
When the will grows strongly and combine with intellect human beings can move mountains. The level of intellect is limited, but the meditator fails to admit that will could be abundant and perfect. However, after a great battle of conflict in mind, the meditator realizes that there is freedom of will.
When he realizes that with free will he has become unlimited, the idea of being the same with his creator overcomes him. Through this, the meditator might do something that he never thought he could attempt (Albel 166). In case an error occurs, this person may, on the other hand, fall into a bottomless pit. The act of the will is perfect and abundant hence there is no possibility of an error. The intellect that is believed to come from the creator is also considered to be perfect.
Through this, any occurrence of errors is believed to come from somewhere else but not from these two aspects. The only suspected source of an error is the wider scope of the will than the intellect. Intellect comprises of thinking, comprehending, imagining, and at times sensing. These components cannot work alone without the enforcement of the will.
The element of hell is related to the Christian understanding of God in various ways. Hell is believed to be the place where the sinners will be punished a place with everlasting fire to burn the sinners (Albel 169). All those people who act against the will of God will receive their rewards in hell by being put on fire. Through Christianity readings, some frightening pictures of hell are described. For instance, the story of the rich man and Lazarus gives a clear view of how hell looks like. This rich man is seen suffering in pain of fire in hell. Christians believe that if one dies without self-acknowledgment of Jesus Christ in his or her heart, the destination will be going to hell. It’s said that nothing on earth would be compared to hell. In the holy bible, the wicked are promised to be turned to hell.
Some people tend to doubt how God, the giver of life and his mercies will punish his people. On the other hand, the bible has mentioned hell in uncountable times. The wicked are told that they must see, smell, breathe, hear, and feel hell. Through these readings, the committed Christians try their level best to act according to the will of God, to avoid their destiny being hell. In several Christian doctrines, hell has been described in various terms (Albel 163). For instance, as everlasting fire, punishment, chains, eternal judgment, and many others. Anyone in the hell is described to have no hopes, as there is no way out. Christians believe that, as much as good deeds will be rewarded in heaven, the evil deeds will be paid in hell through everlasting fire.
