One of the requirements for the implementation of just culture is transformational leadership. The latter has a rather positive influence on organizational culture and provides managers at every healthcare facility with an opportunity to manage personnel, their relationships, and their interactions with patients in an efficient manner (Kaufman & McCaughan, 2013).

Thesis Statement: Transformational leadership positively affects nurses and other clinical specialists within any given professional medical environment under any circumstances and has a substantial impact on patient satisfaction and ultimate patient outcomes.

Transformational Leadership and Just Culture in Nursing

General Information: Numerous modern hospitals are exposed to critical challenges that ultimately impact how patients see and perceive the provision of healthcare services. Moreover, incorrect leadership practices may lead to wrongful decisions concerning fiscal constraints inherent in the majority of the existing hospitals. The Benefits of Transformational Leadership: In other words, transformational leadership can be applied to get in line with the concept of just culture and certify the provision of patient-centered care. In this way, the patients will not be affected by the drawbacks of fairly ineffective management practices because they can be mitigated by transformational leadership (Daly, Jackson, Mannix, Davidson, & Hutchinson, 2014). If one perceives the notions of transformational leadership and just culture as a vast array of guidelines and specifications, the ultimate outcomes of this relationship will arguably be increased patient safety and increased the quality of health care.

The Importance of Transformational Leadership in Healthcare: The promotion of effective nursing leadership is pivotal due to the sustaining nature of health care improvements and long-term achievements (Merrill, 2015). Transformational leadership may be seen as an inseparable component of the modern healthcare practices, so it is reasonable to reassess the attributes of an efficient leader constantly to ensure that the health care facility provides care of the highest quality. Regardless of the visible benefits of transformational leadership, there are several barriers to the promotion and facilitation of this leadership theory (style) in nursing practice (Wong & Giallonardo, 2013).

Implications of the Existing Research: The existing research on the subject promotes the development of management strategies that are based on transformational leadership for a rather serious reason. The creation of the essential guidelines of the “just culture” should be curated by the individual who employed transformational leadership within the clinical environment (Clarke, 2013). This will allow swiftly responding to errors and misinterpretations using qualitative feedback from the nurse managers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Expected Outcomes

Constructive Outcome: Within the framework of the research, transformational leadership is expected to be found as a positive factor that constructively influences the state of affairs within any given healthcare environment.

Contributive Outcome: Moreover, this research is projected to contribute to the existing body of knowledge regarding the process of implementation of transformational leadership into nursing practice. The researcher is keen on identifying all the implicit interdependencies that can be found in the relationship between compliance with the notion of just culture and accurate implementation of transformational leadership within a health care environment.

Safety-related Outcome: The amalgamation of transformational leadership and just culture is expected to certify a safe health care environment and build trustful relationships between the patients and the staff.
