Essentially, Euler was born in Switzerland; nevertheless, he worked mainly in Berlin, Germany, and Saint Petersburg, Russia. Thanks to Leonhard Euler, statistics became recognized as a discipline approximately in 1749 (Glen). Consequently, his inventions formulated a basis for statistics and probability. For instance, Euler’s work on Graeco-Latin squares, namely Euler Squares, are utilized in experiments design.
Moreover, Euler’s published work, namely Opera Omnia, includes eight narratives and a peace describing finite sample spaces in the probability theory. In addition, the majority of Euler’s works discussing probability theory refer to the Genoese lottery. Moreover, Euler discovered the issues in the rising mathematical statistics and observational error fields. The mathematician made vital contributions to the maximum likelihood concept by demonstrating that a well-built model could be impacted negatively by carefully placed observation.
Significantly, Leonhard Euler had an extraordinary memory and concentration. For instance, he was able to repeat from memory all lines from the Aeneid poem (Glen). Important to mention that in his later years, the talented mathematician became blind.
