Abstract
Operation Geronimo is a plan aimed to protect the innocent people of the United States. The project was executed after massive terroristic attracts carried out by Muslims. President Barack Obama was one of the main leaders of the program, and he had a legal right to perform the plan anytime it was ready. Some people supported the idea to protect more lives and make a better country for future generations. However, some people from the American society were against the plan execution due to religious beliefs and evaluation of possible negativities that the operation could cause. The purpose of the study is to show how Barack Obama related to the plan. Moreover, performs the key aspects that required governmental authorities to start working on this program and the main causes of arguments raised during the performance.
Introduction
Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States of America, and he is famous for reforms in the educational system and contribution to the improvement of the financial industry. Moreover, stable and equal financing has significantly stimulated the economy, and, nowadays, the USA can be considered as one of the most developed countries in the world. When Barack Obama was elected, he faced numerous economic collapses, the war in Afghanistan, and a high level of terrorism (Pomante and Schraufnagel, 2018). Under the control of the 44th President of the US, Operation Geronimo was developed. This plan was created to fight against terrorism and protect innocent people. The essay will cover the main aspect of Operation Geronimo, the key elements which were supported by people and what negativities it brought. Moreover, it will explain why Barack Obama had a reasonable motive to establish the Geronimo Operation.
Why Barack Obama Had a Reason for the Geronimo Operation
The background of the President inspired many citizens of the USA, and interpersonal communications between people have become better. During the presidential times, Obama introduced different bills related to the economic sphere. Reforms in the financial institution have been made, and positive changes have been mentioned in another area of social life. For instance, the health care industry has become more available for different social classes. Obama has faced tough terroristic times in the United States, and some arguments could arise as fighting against extremists requires victims and sometimes the death of innocent people. This is the key argument raised during the plan’s performance, and it was crucial for people working under every step to follow the preferences of both sides of the debate.
The fighting against Arab terrorists was one of the main missions of the military sphere staying under the control of the President. Operation Geronimo was also known as Neptune Spear, and it was created after the tragedy happened on September 11, 2001. Many people were killed, commercial planes were attacked, and other terroristic actions happened during this difficult year (Soherwordi and Khattak, 2020). Al-Qaeda believed that they could spread the fear among American citizens and support the ambitions of the Middle East society and all Muslims. However, under the regulations of Barack Obama, Neptune Spear managed to decrease the number of terroristic attacks, and the aggression from Arabs has been reduced by diverse economic and social pressures on the Muslim world. The name ‘Operation Geronimo’ appeared later when the main task of the plan was to kill the leader of terroristic organizations Osama bin Laden. Geronimo was a symbol that could be referred to the whole operation, naming Laden or killing the Muslim leader.
The operation was created and successfully executed during the time when Barack Obama was the head of the government. Consequently, every step had to be discussed with him, and the President had the legal authority to perform the plan when it was ready. There are many ministers in diverse areas like military, economy, health care, and they should make reports to the President to make sure that every industry stays under control. Operation Geronimo was one of the programs that Barack Obama individually monitored. The enormous rate of terrorism in the United States was a primary concern of the President during his governance. Therefore, he had a chance to adjust changes and execute the program anytime he wanted. Even though the operation carried the idea that people harming the country should be killed, the President of the USA tried to defend innocent people and save the country for future generations.
Protection is one of the key responsibilities of the military industry, and soldiers and other army workers need to defend people from internal and external enemies. By analyzing people’s thoughts regarding the operation program, it was found that 90% of Americans believe that it is ethical to kill terrorists in order to protect individuals and their families (Rund, 2017). The program’s execution happened by the allowance of President Barack Obama, and it did not take a lot of time to achieve the desired goal. A structured and planned Operation Geronimo helped military forces and the head of the government liquidate the main terroristic figure and approve this information within one day.
Nevertheless, the arguments have appeared because some people were not ready to sacrifice their family members. 10% of people were against the execution of the plan (Rund, 2017). The operation could have a negative outcome and the development of a full-scale conflict. The arguments against the operation were taken into consideration, and some significant changes were introduced. For instance, more time were spent on the detailed planning and possible protection of people who execute the plan and citizens who are not related to the procedure. Moreover, Muslims who lived on the United States territory did not agree with the plan execution as it could negatively affect their visas and future life in the USA. Moreover, some of them could feel guilty for the actions they have not done and discriminated against by nationality or religion.
For victims of 9/11 and their families, the death of Osama bin Laden meant justice and relief. Developed countries did not judge the USA, and the program continued developing. However, diplomatic relationships between the United States and Arabic countries were broken. Many sanctions appeared, and some representatives were restricted from coming to the USA and receiving visas. Tense relationships between these two parts of the world are related to these days, and the arguments regarding the execution of the operation are massive. The rate of terrorism in the United States has decreased, and for some people, Barack Obama became a symbol of the fight against violence. Moreover, the President has become one of the few leaders who received the Noble Prize for his achievements in the service.

In conclusion, the massive terroristic action that happed at the beginning of the twenty-first century pushed leaders of the United States to start the development of programs that could protect citizens from future tragedies. Barack Obama played a significant role in fighting against Muslim organizations that were negatively oriented on the American society. The planned and structured development of the Geronimo Operation helped governmental authorities liquidate the leader for a short time. Citizens of the United States were not against the plan, and the action was not presented as a crime committed by the government. The lives of many American and their families have become safer. The program’s expansion did not stop, and even nowadays, more unique strategies are introduced to decree the possibility of terrorism in the USA. The leader of the country received great respect from citizens and from the outside developed world.
