Introduction
Each person makes dozens of decisions throughout the day, many of which are essential. The motivation and determinants of each choice are unique, which requires an individual approach not only to the individual but also to each situation. Dire decisions can be made by the norms of society, the law of the country in which a person lives, but sometimes the interests of an exclusively narrow circle of people act as factors. This paper proposes that such decisions should be made with an eye on society and not just considering the personal interests of people.
The Importance of Taking Social Impact Into Consideration in Decision Making
Society is formed over centuries, and moral and other foundations undergo a long-term transformation, establishing themselves in the most favorable position for all community members. In many cases, this step is associated with certain deprivations of each individual – the satisfaction of needs is regulated by moral principles and law so that everyone receives only what they deserve honestly.
Every important decision of a person, no matter what conditions it is dictated, should not violate the usual way of society, which is much older than the experience of any individual. Otherwise, a significant increase in entropy and unrest is possible, leading to chaos from the order that has been established for a long time.
Moreover, although every significant decision may not fully affect all community members, it somehow contributes to the complex interaction of the people in question. The circle of interested parties may be tiny, but with even the slightest influence on society, each of its representatives acts as an indirect stakeholder. Consequently, a person bears social responsibility for his actions not only to family and friends but also to other strangers.
However, if the decision under no circumstances affects social life, taking into account the determinants of the family alone is an entirely reasonable decision. Such actions are enshrined in human rights as the right to privacy and confidentiality of personal information (Ife et al., 2022). The importance of any decision is subjective; therefore, a person can only focus on a limited circle of people in some instances.
Conclusion
As stated above, each decision is unique and requires individual consideration. There are situations when a person can rely on the interests of the entire community and his family. In the first case, the decisive factor is social responsibility and compliance with accepted social norms. The second is the right to privacy, considering the common sense framework and the law.
