Supporting the Population’s Health: The Role of Nurses

The health of the population is one of the most important factors in successful national safety, security, and social development. Additionally, it is an important resource for ensuring the stability of the state, and can be considered as a point of evaluation of the state policy in the social care field. The unstable development of the country can contribute to a significant deterioration in the health of the population, including both adults and children. Promoting healthy lifestyles is one of the main tasks of nurses in supporting the health of patients of different cultures.

The Health Belief Model can be applied to any specific culture. To use the Health Belief Model, it is important to perform a preliminary study of the background and collect information (Sheppard & Thomas, 2021). After that, the difficulties and complexities that exist require a correct presentation by the medical staff. For example, in the case of American culture, the problem of obesity can be widely broadcast. A nurse should provide the most complete information about various aspects of health and risk factors, help children and their parents in the formation of a responsible and positive attitude towards their health and the health of society as a whole, and promote the development of healthy lifestyle behavior.

In conclusion, nurses play an important role in shaping attitudes towards specific issues to the population and individual cultures. Their participation consists in conveying information about the importance of problems and correct actions to eliminate them. Nurses must be able to communicate correctly to achieve maximum effectiveness, as the decision of people to take any action to eliminate existing or possible problems depends on the presentation of information.
