In the past, most patients, especially those from rural areas, have encountered many challenges that prevent them from accessing hospital facilities. The need to ensure equity-care provision amongst patients with various constraints is crucial to the health professional. Integration of telehealth technology in healthcare service allows ensuring all patients, despite their economic, social, or health conditions, receive inclusively and quality care from the hospital facilities.
Generally, advanced nurse practice population health specialty is a crucial area in healthcare since the professionals handle and coordinate most of the activities to ensure that patients receive better care. This group of practitioners plays a vital role that requires a proper medical procedure to provide quality service. With telehealth technology, professionals will be able to have the necessary records of patients and can easily access critical instructions through the devices while performing medical emergency operations.
The question of how to provide quality, timely and affordable care to patients in marginalized growth has become a key concern to providers. Currently, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) face the challenge of making them unable to offer equitable and inclusive services to sick individuals. When an e-health system is incorporated, APRNs will be able to reach patients through the technology and ensure they receive the necessary treatment (List et al., 2019). Telemedicine is capable of breaking barriers such as distance, language, and time. This practice will allow individuals in rural areas to access healthcare through their devices.
In summary, telehealth is fundamental in healthcare because it improves the capacity of APRNs to coordinate and provide quality care to patients. When nurses are exposed to e-health, they become capable of delivering quality services since the technology facilitates their ability to access the necessary patient. Similarly, sick individuals will have the chance to receive care irrespective of their economic or health status. Therefore, the adoption of telehealth enhances a more inclusive healthcare system that benefits people.
