Introduction
In this paper, I will discuss the American Hospital Association (AHA). It is a national organization representing hospitals, network systems, patients, and communities. The association was formed in 1898 and is currently based in Chicago, US (American Hospital Association, 2022). The mission of AHA is to promote a just society of healthy communities where everyone reaches their highest potential in terms of health. Based on this, AHA exists to make sure that its members’ points of view and demands are heard and responded to through advocacy.
Leadership
AHA has various groups of leadership that help ensure the organization runs smoothly. The first leadership group of the ANA is the executive team. The president and CEO of ANA lead the group as the overall leader (American Hospital Association, 2022). The team is made up of senior leaders of ANA and is tasked with different roles in the association. The second leadership group is the Board of Trustees, which comprises leaders from various organizations. The third group of leadership of ANA is the regional executives. These are leaders from different states representing members of those regions.
Quality Assurance
Quality assurance is among the American Hospital Association’s main goals (AHA) goals. The association engages in different roles to ensure its members and partners work towards achieving the set quality measures. Firstly, AHA offers information to health facilities to enhance their work and performance. Secondly, the association assures quality by giving the Quest for Quality award (American Hospital Association, 2022). The initiative motivates the hospitals to adopt strategies to promote quality. Thirdly, AHA is focused on ensuring that hospitals have adequate resources for an emergency. Fourthly, the association provides evidence-based resources and education to hospital staff.
Organizational dynamics and governance
AHA has organizational dynamics and governance to ensure its operations are performed effectively. The association’s leadership is divided into groups with specific functions to split decision-making. The top leadership comprises a board of trustees who make policies that guide the organization’s activities (American Hospital Association, 2022). They have the power and authority for governance and management of operations. In addition, they are responsible for hiring the association’s CEO and president. IN AHA, the CEO is the head of the executive and is tasked with ensuring that the association runs effectively.
Public Health
Promoting public health is among the key initiatives of AHA. The association improves health equity through medical-legal partnerships. The purpose is to enhance community health and well-being. AHA actively participates in innovative campaigns, alliances, and award-giving to ensure that the community gets appropriate health information (American Hospital Association, 2022). In addition, the association is committed to creating a hospital culture against violence. AHA has established a task force charged with the responsibility of making sure vulnerable communities are accessed.
Ethics
The AHA monitors and ensures that hospitals maintain ethical standards. Firstly, it works toward achieving equality in the delivery of medical care by doing so. The association ensures that hospitals adopt policies that promote equality during care (American Hospital Association, 2022). Secondly, the association improves both the diversity and inclusiveness of the workforce. It ensures that hospitals practice diversity when hiring their employees. Thirdly, AHA is dedicated to promoting everyone’s overall health and well-being.

AHA is committed to ensuring the association continues even after a disaster. Firstly, it uses proactive techniques to prevent and reduce the impact of a disaster. AHA had a team responsible for pre and post-disaster management (American Hospital Association, 2022).

There are several strategic objectives for the organization. Firstly, AHA wants to make sure that hospitals provide quality healthcare. Secondly, they intend to ensure that hospitals can pay their bills. Thirdly, they want to improve public trust in the healthcare system.
