In the contemporary corporate world, there exists a belief that leaders are motivated by their ambitions rather than beliefs. For this reason, international companies are starting to invest substantial funds in developing value-based leadership. Therefore, this response will discuss the role of leaders’ values in the organizational culture.
Fundamental beliefs play a crucial part in constructing a positive corporate environment since they stimulate individuals’ behavior. As indicated by Hester and Young (2013), values are a way through which leaders transfer purpose and influence the everyday choices of employees in an organization. By building strong professional relationships established on values and core beliefs, leaders can develop trust and responsiveness within a corporate culture.
To summarize, since leaders are generally driven by their self-interest, it is essential to understand the importance of values. Managers need to be able to guide their followers and impact their performance. Thus, the presented response explained what role values play in the corporate culture.
