Introduction

According to an estimate and study, the book “Who Moved My Cheese” by Mr. Spencer Johnson has become one of the best seller books in the Chinese market. With the main focus on the changes taking place in everyone’s life, the book highlights a brief story of the life of two mice and two human beings living in a maze, and when they are struck by a drastic change, that is, someone has moved their cheese.

The whole book covers different behaviors of people living in different surroundings, especially in professional official environments. The book tells us that whether somebody is ready or not, changes do occur and everybody has to cope up and live with that change, whether with an acceptable behavior or disagreement but changes are there and would continue to take place till eternity.

Body

Dr. Spencer Johnson is a well-known and famous author who has successfully written the best seller book of Amazon.com “Who Moved My Cheese”. It is said that with the help of this book, the author himself has faced the most challenging changes of his life (whomovedmycheese.com). With this simple topic, the author has paved way to lead the way and tell people how to understand the tools and language of a CHANGE.

This five-letter word might not seem important but it has changed lives and will continue to do so. As an example, the tale of two mice and two human beings is used who are living with old routine but suddenly something changes; their cheese has been moved from its place which is treated as a drastic change for them. A change might seem uncomfortable and difficult to adapt but later on, it paves new ways for the development of life of a person, especially at working environments, changes have changed the entire shape of not only the people working in there, but also has affected the business performance as a whole (bookbrowse.com).

The book begins when a group of classmates meet together and discusses how the world has changed since the time they were kids. Later on, the students namely Haw and Hem lived in a maze where two mice also live namely, Sniff and Scurry. Each day, all of them find cheese for themselves as food. This continues and all of them take the pile of cheese as it would never finish; this situation is described for those people who think that their lives would remain the same forever and nothing would ever be changed.

But one day, the situation changes when the pile of cheese gradually finishes up. With this, an era of confusion, tension, uncomfortably arouses which is described as the reaction to the changes people usually show. The mice understand and become habitual of this change quickly, but both the boys show reluctance and fear in accepting this gradual change to adopt; here the author has described very nice human behavior which he shows while facing any sort of change in his life.

The main point explained here by the author is that most of the people believe that what happened today would always last forever and nothing would change, but the fact of life is that the whole world is changing around us day by day, with the passage of time. The only difference is some people understand this fact whereas others do not; and when they do, it becomes too difficult for them to change which is why they face trouble in accepting those changes.

Conclusion

The author is trying to explain the fact of life in very simple words and has named it as “cheese”. The change of life can be considered cheese, which might be a blessing or a curse for some people, but the reality of life is that changes happen and people have to mold themselves according to these changes. The cheese could be anything happening in our lives, and for some people, it could be something to which you are used to and take it as daily routine.

But then this daily routine of life could change and then you will have to admit that change has occurred and the world is eventually changing around you everyday. So everybody in the world has to prepare for any sort of change in their lives because nothing is pre-planned and nothing is expected. Anything unexpected could be happen to anybody anytime that is why everybody has to be ready for it and take it simple, or else life could be a curse and nothing else.
