This source is a research paper on the statistics of unintended pregnancies and abortion, and their relationship with income and other demographic features. The aim was to create a new statistical model that can be helpful in global health research and implementation of policies. The researchers found the number of unintended pregnancies globally, and the percentage of those that resulted in abortion, and compared the data to income groups using World Bank data. This paper is useful for my research as it provides concrete statistics on abortion and the demographic of the people involved.
Fathalla, M. F. (2020). Safe abortion: The public health rationale. Best Practice & Research Clinical Obstetrics & Gynaecology, 63, 2–12.
This paper discusses the various solutions to preventing unsafe abortions, including sexual education, increased access to contraceptives, provision of safe and legal abortions, and postabortion care. It defines various terms related to abortion and provides statistics on safe and unsafe abortions. This paper is useful for my research as it provides objective solutions and background information to the issue of unsafe abortions.

TelAbortion: evaluation of a direct to patient telemedicine abortion service in the United States. Contraception, 100, 173-177.
This paper discusses the use of Telemedicine in the context of abortion. It evaluates the safety and practical implications of remote abortion services. The study conducted sent the eligible participants self-administered abortion kits and provided the required medical help over a video-call. This study is particularly useful due to the ongoing global pandemic emphasizing the need for remote solutions to many issues, such as abortion, in this case.
