Introduction
Advanced practice nurse (APN) could be a powerful asset to a medical organization and enhance the quality of provided healthcare. As an advanced practice nurse, I envision my role at the organization positively, as my skillset and education may change the implementation of provided healthcare.
Discussion
Modern medical organizations understand the true potential of employing APNs; they could improve the overall performance of a facility. APNs might be a core foundation of any medical facility, as they bring experience and exceptional abilities to provide high-quality healthcare (Schober & Stewart, 2019). The usage of APNs may improve the medical facility in various aspects.
As an advanced practice nurse in a medical organization, I envision my positive influence on healthcare policy implementation resulting from a comprehensive plan. The plan begins with the identification of objectives and tasks that I need to complete. In addition, I will employ the human-centered approach where the patient is a number one priority. Emphasizing the importance of patients is crucial, as listening to and satisfying their needs improves the rate of customer satisfaction (Oldenburger et al., 2017). The plan to positively enhance the quality of provided healthcare mainly concentrates on patients and effective communication.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my role as an advanced practice nurse may change the mode of providing healthcare through the implementation of effective leadership. In my team of nurses, where I could be appointed as a team leader, I would implement effective communication and leadership to improve the quality of provided care. This can improve the security of patients, stimulate a positive environment for work, increase the rate of satisfaction among patients, and decrease the level of job turnover (Hassmiller & Pulcini, 2020). Effective leadership may help APNs to change the implementation process of healthcare policies and measures positively.
