Artificial intelligence is the capacity of a digitized computer or software robot to execute tasks generally affiliated with sentient creatures. Artificial intelligence is one of the prevailing technologies that allow solving many issues of people in different fields of activity (Kersting, 2018). The development of AI often affects drivers and retail workers, healthcare workers, lawyers, accountants, and financial professionals. However, the most affected are workers who usually work in manufacturing or manufacturing industries, and as a result of the use of artificial intelligence in these industries, machines perform several tasks and jobs. As a consequence, this leads to the displacement of a large amount of labor. AI has advanced many tasks that were once executed by human hands to become automated, forcing most the workers to either quit or go back to school to either advance their education or study something that aligns with the new technology; therefore, education is one of the demographic factors affecting workers. The age of the workers is another factor influencing how fast or slow workers will learn to cope with AI advancement in industries.
Through human-centered design and technological advances, labor workers will be allowed to participate in the industry’s design process, giving them a chance to learn new skills that will help them to continue working for the company instead of being laid off. The introduction of new AI advancements in manufacturing industries has forced the owners to bring in instructors to guide the workers on operating the new equipment. In some situations, workers have to attend seminars to be fully educated on operating the new machinery (Lin, 2020). Providing employees with professional training and education will assist in reducing the number of dismissed employees. This will help create jobs for high-tech devices, trained employees will work in other areas, and their industry will thrive in the future. The three new technologies will be robotics, additive technologies, and wearable gadgets. Various companies, for example, Boeing, Apple, 3D Robotics and others, are engaged in the production of this type of technology and provide them for the use of people. The problem of insufficient resources may arise in the design, but this problem is solved by using substitutes. For customers, the proposed technologies will create opportunities such as facilitating manual labor, free movement, and the acquisition of new knowledge and skills.
