Aspects of Global Health Issues

Introduction

In the current world, global health is the utmost disaster so far according to the study done. The study shows that the new skills brought by science and medicine have failed to attain the mass of the global population. Although outstanding enhancements have been prepared in health conditions globally over the last century, these improvements have not met everyone accordingly. The reason behind this is because of different living standards in different countries. It is believed that the major risk to existing and developing health disasters tend to be those obliged to societal determinants confirmed to harmfully affect the people’s health including poverty and perilous living and effective surroundings. Global health disorder is brought about by the weak health schemes, worldwide dearths and disparities in the health staff among others. (Schnurr, et al, 398)

Hunger is one of the alarming disasters in global health, it has done a lot in slowing down many countries in the world. One of the affected countries by the global health issues is Haiti my born country. Haiti is believed to be one of the countries that have never enjoyed freedom since a long time ago. Many may wonder why much hunger in the country is there so; the reason behind it is because of the poverty that has dominated the country. The poverty in Haiti is exceptional due to poor governance, education and the continued earthquakes. (Shah) Lack of support in the agricultural sector has also contributed a lot to the continuing hunger in the country like as the Fao director General Jacques Dioufs says. “He adds to say that economic and social reconstruction of the country needs a restoration of food production and massive investment in rural area”. (Jere, 1752) For this reason, you will find almost everybody in Haiti is affected either direct or indirect

The research done shows that to nearly the 21st century, hunger maintains the leading risk to health worldwide. Unlike in Haiti, the World health organization published that hunger kills more people than cancer, heart diseases, AIDS, malaria and TB can do all together combined. It is also estimated that in every four children one is underweight. Due to the underweight, that child is likely to die from infectious diseases due to weak immune. According to one of the American researchers, he claimed that “the hungry are the poorest of the poor, and enhancements in poverty don’t automatically reach them” (Dickenson, 7) as it has been in Haiti. The impact of hunger can bring about poverty, malnutrition, HIV/AIDS among many more.

Poverty

Poverty has a great impact on global health issues as many people know. The researcher has clearly proven that, if you are poor, you may lack have anything to eat. Unlike in Haiti, many people are poor due to the inadequate support from the government that has not been stable for quite some time due to the alarming issues that arise in the country continually. It is believed that the greatest number of people in Haiti live under the poverty line causing the speedy growth of poverty in the country. (Jere, 1754)

Malnutrition

Malnutrition is not something new to the people of Haiti reason being that it is not unlike the other countries where it affects the children. The research done shows that Haitian people are chronically underfed due to a lack of enough food. Undernutrition has an effect on the immune structure mounting to the occurrences and sternness of diseases and is an allied issue in approximately all children deaths. (Dickenson, 8)

HIV/AIDS

This disease will always withstand due to lack of money which is caused by the poor economy in the country. In this situation, you will find many people indulging in prostitution in search of money these been great chances of getting Aids. The behavior has spread rapidly due to poor governance, lack of enough to eat, and education. In this situation, you will find that a few are done to kick the disease out of the country. (Dickenson, 9)

Current aid organizational

It is for these reasons that some organizations have risen to help this country from this alarming situation. These organizations are doing much in educating the people of Haiti, bringing about new technologies, and changing the economy that had drastically deteriorated. Some of these organizations are Students for Global Citizenship Club (S4GC), Boston Aid Groups Lead, Cell phones help aid group, and cholera intensifies the struggle for aid groups among others. (Jere, 1754)

Students for Global Citizenship Club (S4GC)

This organization has done a lot in promoting responsiveness about global matters and movements occupied in both activism and volunteerism to develop the lives of others. For this reason, the people of Haiti have learnt how to help one another in times of needy. They have also learnt how to come together and form organizations that are changing the country to great heights. Despite all the challenges in Haiti, they have something to enjoy after having centers that could cater for their needs especially in terms of activism and leadership. (Schnurr, et al, 398)

Boston Aid Groups Lead

This organization has helped Haiti a lot in saving them in times of earthquake not forgetting to fund them as well. In doing this, the Haitian people could not feel left behind from the comfort they receive from this organization that heals their wounds even during these hard times. This organization has been doing wonders even in providing medical treatment for injured people during any disaster. During these times of disaster, the organization do not forget in advancing nutritional aid and provide clean water for them to drink. This developed and enhanced the country by knowing how to do the work by themselves. (Schnurr, et al, 399)

Cell phones help aid group

Cell phones helped a lot in Haiti for people could reach one another especially in times of needy. The main aim of this organization was to collect any relevant information that could assist the people whenever necessary. Any news that arose in the country was easily transmitted and also stern measures were taken immediately or before anything wrong happened. This technology made the people feel connected and by so doing they were eager to take part in the organization that finally left them a piece of new knowledge. This technology simplified things since people could not walk a long distance in order to pass simple information instead they could pass it on air and cut the expenses that should have occurred. (Dickenson, 10)

Cholera intensifies the struggle for an aid group

Due to the continued lack of proper diet, water pollution and education among others, diseases had a wide path to enter the people of Haiti. This organization was there to provide the most basic necessities in fighting any kind of epidemic that could arise in the country. The organization was there to help and stop the spread of any disease, educate the people about appropriate hygiene and humanize the dumping of unwanted waste. This was great to the country for it made the people civilized by learning of all these. (Schnurr, et al, 399)

Observations in global health issues

In general, global health issues have a great impact on many countries, especially Haiti. The reason behind this is because the country has never enjoyed the fruits of their country, unlike the other countries. Some of the impacts like poverty, malnutrition, HIV/AIDS have participated a lot in slowing the growth of this country. The paper summarizes how with the help of these organizations Haiti has gotten something in their hands to call theirs. The statistic done has proven that Haiti shouldn’t have something to smile until the organization ventured in. These organizations have changed the country dramatically leaving with them something they can smile for.

Conclusion

Hunger is a global health issue that can leave someone to have nothing to enjoy. Unlike in Haiti, hunger has proven to be the leading disaster as global health issues are concerned. The paper clearly shows how hunger has resulted in the spread of HIV/AIDs, malnutrition, poverty among others in Haiti. The good thing with hunger as one of the global health issues, it has made many organizations gather in their country leaving them with something to smile in getting different new technologies.
