Dear employees, our company’s critical priority is to ensure a high level of quality while creating a favorable working environment so that each employee can fully realize their professional and creative potential. Among others, in an effort to create a constructive, comfortable work environment, our company is constantly expanding its range of concerns for you. As you may know, one of these ongoing areas is the formation of discounted co-payment offers for medications issued strictly according to the doctor’s prescription. For several years, the corporate co-payment per unit purchased has been $55, and as our analytics department has shown, this offer has been used by a considerable number of employees. Based on our findings, we concluded that this program should be maintained because it significantly reduces the financial burden on employees.

However, the cost of marketed drugs continues to rise, and remaining at $55 seems like the wrong and even old-fashioned decision for our company. Taking into account all the risks and our desire to take your health seriously, we have decided to raise our co-payment for a drug from $55 to $60. This solution will start to be used as early as May 1, 2021. Thus, this strategy will make it even easier for our employees to get sick. By doing so, we express our endless gratitude for the effective cooperation with each employee and show our trust in you.

SUBJECT: The Emergency Incident that Happened to Helga Great.

Dear Denis Smith, in recognition of your effective leadership and willingness to compromise in difficult professional situations, I am writing you this report to inform you about an emergency that occurred today in the lobby of our office building. Helga Great, my colleague and Development employee, arrived at work as usual on schedule and intended to go through the check-in process at the card-check desk, which is a basic procedure for every employee. As soon as she checked in, Helga walked toward the elevator to get to her floor as usual. However, in her path was spilled water with which the cleaning lady had washed the lobby floors, but without any warning sign about the slippery surface. As a result, Helga slipped and fell on a glass guest table with paper products, thereby shattering it.

Dear Denis Smith, as you may have noticed, this incident is a series of unintentional accidents. Nevertheless, the results of this situation were physical and mental harm to Helga Great’s health, as well as damage to expensive office equipment. As a Helga colleague, I am very concerned about her health and wish her a speedy recovery. As a member of the Development Department, it is my responsibility to report to you in as much detail as possible so that you have a complete understanding of what has happened. I ask you to pay special attention to Helga’s total innocence in this problem and to weigh all the losses to the company. As an effective leader, I ask you, Mr. Smith, to find the best compromise for this situation and help the victim in any way you can.
