These include faith, love, compassion, and beliefs about who God is and why one comes to him for counsel. The totality of these statements shapes attitudes toward Christianity and allows us to understand its value to man. This paper is aimed to establish which description of these features fits reality.
The Christian Worldview
The Christian worldview discusses the topic in terms of three themes: the oneness of God, his concern for oppression, and Jesus as God. The paper focuses on the idea that these three tenets shape Christians’ general thoughts about the worldview and thereby condition their behavior in society. The author came ups with the idea that these themes cannot be changed or divided in any Christian denomination (The Christian Worldview, 2019). The author’s argument for the oneness of God is weak and unreasonable because it does not describe the essence of unity. The description of concern for the oppressed as a feature of the Christian worldview is accurate and complete, and I support this characterization. It is not clear why the essay’s writer chose this description for the postulate that Jesus is God. I cannot entirely agree that the reason is that God has a personality. Overall, the essay does not sufficiently describe the essential features of the Christian worldview.
Living It Out: Faith, Love and Compassion
The Living it out discusses faith, love, and compassion as central features of the Christian worldview. The author describes the relationship to faith, allowing confirmation of his observations. The description of trust that God can guide through trials is an essential element of the worldview, and the author describes this well (Living it out, 2015). In contrast to the first work, the author takes a fuller approach to defining the person of Christ. I agree with his description because it contains the nature of the relationship between man and Christ. The author describes love, allowing us to understand the statement that it is at the heart of everything. Other religions use a different basis, while Christianity is formed on principles of love (Living it out, 2015). The definition of values is complete, ensuring that the features of the Christian worldview include faith, love, and compassion. Overall, the work makes a pleasant impression due to the author’s attention to the subtleties of critical concepts.
The Good Christian
The Good Christian discusses the same concepts as the previous essay – faith, compassion, and love. The author uses similar rhetoric about faith, indicating that faith is a cumulative term describing trust in the acts of God. The argument about Abraham is detailed and precise, so I am inclined to trust this statement. In matters of hope, the author begins with the controversial claim that Christians do not believe in humanity but only in God (The Good Christian, n.d.). I cannot agree with this since God teaches love of neighbor, and keeping faith and hope in one’s neighbor is just as important. I am not sure that notions of eternity would in any way reflect the worldview of Christians because visions of an afterlife take precedence over eternal wandering. The author’s description of love is similar to the concepts in the previous work because both works refer to the unconditional love of Christ for a man (The Good Christian, n.d.). Overall, the work has much more potential than the first, but one cannot fully agree on all points.
Conclusion
We can establish that love, faith, hope, the oneness of God, and the person of Christ are central concepts in the Christian worldview. The Christian worldview does not fully reveal the idea of the person of God, although it does well to emphasize the description of his acts. Living it out gives good ideas about the fundamentality of love and faith and provides answers about the person of God. The good Christian continues these thoughts, although the descriptions of faith and eternity do not fully correspond to reality.
