It should primarily be stated that responding to an argument that Christianity is an other-worldly religion first and foremost is hard. This is due to the fact that it definitely includes both other-worldliness and this-worldliness and they usually interrelate and produce a cause effect relationship. For instance, Christianity sates that if you follow God and prevent yourself from sinning in this life, God will reward you with good life after death where you will not suffer.
Therefore, this topic is every controversial and subjective and each individual will have a different answer to this question. Talking about my personal opinion, Christianity is an other-worldly religion because it is primarily focused on preparing individual for life after death and teaches them to accept it as something inevitable.
From what I personally know about Bible and Christianity, this religion teaches people to live faithfully, trust in the word of God and follow his requirements and obligations for us. By living “good,” helping others, and not sinning, the followers of the Lord can be sure that he will take care of them not just in this world but also after death. In addition, Christianity perceives death not like an end but rather as the beginning of something new.
People who follow this religion do not fear death but rather believe that God prepared something better for them in the afterlife. They embrace it and accept that it is an inevitable part of our life that has to be understood on the spiritual level. Therefore, all the teachings of Christianity are established one specific idea that there is something better waiting for us in the afterlife; therefore, we have to trust the word of God and follow it no matter what.
