Climate Change and Its Impact on the Weather

Climate change is a serious issue nowadays, considering that it is bound to affect my generation and the next ones. Therefore, I feel responsible for understanding this problem and taking my time to make my routine less wasteful and more eco-friendly. Unfortunately, the issue of climate change is becoming more and more apparent, especially when it comes to its impact on the oceans (National Geographic, 2022). Most of the heat generated by emissions is absorbed by the water leading to ice melting and marine heatwaves (National Geographic, 2022). Not only does it negatively affect flora and fauna, which are now forced to seek other places to live, but it also increases the risks of natural hazards like tsunamis or floods.

What is more, we are now experiencing considerable and obvious changes in the weather that were primarily caused by climate change. However, it is important to understand that global warming is not the reason for this, and scientists prefer to use climate change when discussing shifts in the weather (National Geographic, 2022). Heat is the consequence of climate change, which melts glaciers and forces many animals on the move (National Geographic, 2022). The cold seasons become warmer, whereas summer is greatly hotter. Such negative changes in the weather are likely to lead to heat waves and major storms all across the world. Personally, I feel disturbed because of this, as natural hazards are the most unexpected of all, and no one can control them once they occur, which is terrifying as many people can get hurt.

That is why, having analyzed the issue of climate modification, I can conclude that it is the primary cause of extreme weather changes. The changing temperatures and precipitations for specific regions lead to alterations in the weather (National Geographic, 2022). In addition, it then results in extreme and dangerous natural hazards that tend to occur more than they used to before the change in the climate.
