The method that human services work is carried out is changing as a result of ongoing technological advancements. These technological advancements allowed for the creation of an interactive, real-time work environment. Automated personnel record keeping gave way to more complicated reporting and decision-making systems as a result of the evolution of these information systems. One can respond to changes, and decision-making needs more swiftly thanks to human services IT technologies. One can react to changes, and decision-making needs more swiftly thanks to the human services IT system. Budget management, monitoring, screening, talent matching, evaluations, and feedback are all made possible (Muslih et al., 2020). Additionally, succession planning, personnel planning, skills monitoring, training requirements analysis, and global analysis are all possible. These IT systems help organization performance because they allow automating processes that are routine and therefore save costs and enhance the use of human resources.
The significant cyber-security risks found in the human services sector are linked to information breaches, which lead to sensitive data being stolen by criminals. Trusted but unaware insiders are to blame for violations since human error is a significant contributing factor. Mistakes may be costly, from incorrectly addressed emails to stolen gadgets to personal data delivered not to secure home systems. Moreover, a genuine risk is a malicious personnel who want to steal data or cause harm (Stahl & Pease, 2007). Some have a grudge against the company, while others sell data or intelligence or steal trade secrets from rival companies. Leaders can provide IT training to prepare employees for using information systems to meet organizational goals. Moreover, they can communicate the purpose of using a particular IT system and the benefits that it will help achieve.
