Ethical Leadership and Employee Job Satisfaction

Ethical leadership is a headship in which people conduct themselves in a way that is appropriate and acceptable in every aspect of their life. The article “The relationship between ethical leadership and employee job satisfaction” by Guo (2022) elaborates on how ethics play a significant role in employee satisfaction in an organization. The study investigates the connection between proper guidance and workers’ job gratification. In addition, the research explores perceived organizational transparency and media richness’ meditating effect. Leaders must practice ethics to create a positive working environment and culture, improve reputation, foster customer and employee loyalty, and upsurge the company’s output. Moreover, they should ensure the optimal setting for workforces by developing, inspiring, and establishing an atmosphere of respect and trust that lead to other benefits, including lower turnover.

The research depended on questionnaires as the ultimate guiding tool for collecting data. The researcher involved a sampling technique for collecting data from 276 workers in the Macau service sector (Guo, 2022). The findings obtained indicate a significant relationship between ethical leadership and employee satisfaction, and how media richness and perceived organizational transparency have mediating effects on the overall performance of an organization (Guo, 2022). The study benefited the staff of Macau since it allowed them to plan the strategies for their staff members regarding organizational success and sustainability.

The findings of the research provided various outcomes including ethical leadership establishes a diverse association among employees, thus improving their job satisfaction. Advanced management enhances administrative outcomes by broadcasting increased commitment and work fulfillment from workers. Decent supervisors should integrate the right principles, making fairness, integrity, and empowerment that ensure improved operative gratification. Media richness has also played a major role in information sharing in an organization (Guo, 2022). Principled managers share moral knowledge with their subordinates through effective communication channels. They adopt media tools for educating staff about the integrities of a business. Furthermore, organizational transparency is an instrument that helps a company adapt to changing situations, thus reducing corporate uncertainty.

However, some limitations were involved in this study since it used a questionnaire approach. It was time-consuming to collect the data since all the identified employees had to complete the form provided. Analyzing the information given was also tiresome because the researcher had to scrutinize every detail (Andrade, 2020). The respondents could have provided inaccurate statistics and dishonest answers because they might feel uncomfortable unfavorably exposing themselves.

In my final paper, I can use this ethical leadership study to explain the importance of moral practices in a business. This study gives a guideline of what is expected from leaders to have a sustainable and successful professional operation. Guo (2022) emphasizes trust and transparency, which are fundamental factors that contribute to the overall performance that determines the profitability and legibility of a company. My final paper will contain some key elements and characteristics of ethical leadership that influence a conducive working environment.

In conclusion, ethical leadership has many benefits that every organization in various industries should desire to have. Employee satisfaction is a crucial factor that is determined by the moral culture in a certain working environment. Leaders ought to practice ethics that help them provide loyalty from both customers and laborers, thus increasing productivity. Principled management is about motivating, inspiring, leading, and making workers accountable for what they do. Success is achieved easily if the staffs are happier at their workplace.
