Globalization, as a complex process of increasing connectedness and interdependence of different countries, economies, and cultures, has had a significant impact on multiple spheres of human life. In particular, one of the decisive fields where the influence of globalization might have far-reaching effects is education. Indeed, research shows that despite multiple benefits and opportunities, the transformations in contemporary education toward e-learning and more globalized approaches have generated significant concerns for local educational systems’ equity (Ghosal, 2021). Indeed, according to Juniarsih and Permana (2022), competition is one of the inevitable aspects of globalization, which exposes modern educational methodologies to new challenges. Thus, globalization will likely diversify educational opportunities while diminishing the competitive advantages of weaker educational systems.
History Lens
When applying the history lens to the discussed topic, one might refer to the changes that emerged in the educational systems and approaches throughout the centuries of their development. The impact of the historical eras on education in different periods is indicative of the unity between the prevalent world order and educational philosophies. The significance of the topic has intensified over time, having become more problematic. In particular, as stated by the author of the historical study on the topic Ghosal (2021), the attitudes toward education were different in the time of Aristotle. The thinker believed that education is “central to human existence and a fulfilled person is always an educated one” (Ghosal, 2021, p. 300). In this regard, the middle of the 20th century, as the beginning of globalization trends, might be viewed as the time of intensification of education differentiation that contradicted Aristotle’s perspectives.

People express their national identity through culture; however, with the impact of globalization, such identification might be jeopardized. They might experience ambiguity in perceiving themselves as cultural units in a given locality due to globalized educational influences.
Natural and Applied Sciences Lens
The topic of globalization’s impact on education might be researched from the perspective of natural and applied sciences due to the omnipresence of changes in the educational systems of globalizing nations. In particular, the use of scientific methods of surveys, questionnaires, observation, and experimentation might be helpful in investigating the correlation between educational outcomes under the influence of globalization trends (Ghosal, 2021; Gu, 2021). Although the topic does not directly relate to the physical world, one might explore access to educational materials and facilities in different countries. Since the topic is rather broad and involves bias due to the differences in educational approaches in different countries, it might be difficult to research it objectively.
Social Science Lens
The use of social science lens allows for tying the problem of educational disparities under the globalization issues with the social outcomes in both long- and short-term perspectives. According to Juniarsih and Permana (2022), local communities and cultural representatives are most impacted by the topic since the education of youth according to globalization principles leads to the lack of cultural identity in the whole society. The topic implies that proper implementation of globalization trends into educational systems worldwide might improve interpersonal relationships due to the increase in similarities and the introduction of the same context for the international community. From the perspective of the impacted social structures and systems, the topic is relevant to communities of young students and adult learners, educational organizations, governments, and international associations.
