Healthcare Manager’s Conceptual, Technical, and Interpersonal Skills

A healthcare manager is a person who facilitates, administrates, and influences the healthcare system as a manager is an indispensable part of the medical system, aimed at people’s well-being enhancement. To perform their duties well, a manager might possess and demonstrate a particular set of skills, such as the conceptual, technical, and interpersonal skills to become an effective leader. A manager might underpin their leanings via certain Biblical dogmas and morals aligned with humanity, tolerance, loyalty, and sympathy to maintain a high-profile performance.

Conceptual skills are the aptitudes a healthcare manager demonstrates regarding their ability to understand the object of analysis or research and then find the right solution to the solved issue. Rowley et al. (2021) point out that conceptual skills are “the mental ability to analyze and diagnose complex situations” (p.9). As to technical skills, they are in charge of specialized knowledge appliances and experience performance. Interpersonal skills are liable for the “ability to work with, understand and motivate other people, both individually and in groups” (Rowley et al.,2021, p.9). Combining these three aspects can make a healthcare manager an effective leader deal with several issues successfully, as they tap into leadership approaches paying them off promptly. To acquire and refine this set of skills, a manager must be obsessed with the idea of serving and tailoring people’s needs. To anticipate all clients’ wishes in the healthcare industry, a manager might tap into data services in order to analyze all possible threats and risks for American citizens to offer them beneficial help and counseling.

Refining and honing interpersonal leadership skills operate on Biblical principles in the healthcare system. According to Catholic and Orthodox Bibles, healthcare managers are providers of Biblical wisdom and compassion. Besides, a healthcare manager is a contributor to the world, responsible for their knowledge of medicinal herbs and the service of humanity. They are liable “for diagnosing accurately, preserving life, prescribing the right medicine; and for healing effectively and relieving pain” (Fisher, 2021, p.15). It goes without saying that the healthcare system is based on Biblical principles and dogmas that are the basis of people’s compassion and participation. Orientation on Biblical worldviews is the substitute for the impersonal leadership approach, as adjusting the personal connect with ailing human beings is the foundation of these profound dogmas.

A healthcare manager is the embodiment of diverse leadership skills manifested. Their key aim is to analyze empirical data information and operate on moral and humane principles to achieve health goals. Being a contributor to the world means being flexible and tolerant towards human beings suffering from severe health issues. The combination of conceptional, technical, and impersonal skills is a default position regarding successful leadership behavioral patterns.
