Healthcare Manager’s Responsibilities in the Management of Human Resources

The position of health manager is one of utmost importance in human resources management. Ensure that employees and their families remain healthy and that their well-being is taken care of, which are the responsibilities of a health manager. The health manager has to ensure that the organization’s healthcare system is functioning correctly. The role of a health manager in human resources management is extensive and varied.

Secondly, the health manager is responsible for the proper attachment and maintenance of employees to the medical organization. Moreover, the health of employees should be assessed through medical tests developed by the health manager. This approach helps to identify any potential health concerns early on and take appropriate measures to address them.

Maintaining positive relations between employees and medical staff is also one of the priorities of a health manager. Psychological readiness for the work of employees should be considered besides their physical states. The health manager has to maintain the correct pace of work and the health of employees by paying close attention to the application of medical rules and protocols. During the COVID-19 pandemic, senior health managers felt the need to assess and help the junior staff’s psychological states because of the challenge caused by the difficult world situation (Greenberg et al., 2020). This approach creates a comfortable work environment, which boosts employee morale and productivity.

The role of a health manager goes beyond ensuring the health and well-being of employees. It also involves the development and implementation of health policies and programs that promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles among employees. The health manager should encourage employees to adopt healthy habits and engage in physical activities, which can reduce the risk of chronic diseases and enhance their overall health.

Moreover, the health manager should prioritize the use of technology in managing healthcare systems. Electronic medical records (EMRs) are an example of a technology that can simplify the management of employee healthcare information. The use of telemedicine can also provide an effective means of delivering medical care to employees who are unable to visit medical facilities physically.

In summary, the health manager plays a critical role in maintaining the well-being of employees. The health and psychological readiness of staff should be monitored and measures to maintain an efficient and healthy human resources service should be implemented by the health manager. They must take proactive steps to ensure that employees and their families receive the necessary healthcare services, thereby promoting a positive and healthy work environment. They should work collaboratively with medical staff and management to maintain the correct pace of work while ensuring the safety and health of employees. By doing so, the health manager contributes to the overall success of the organization, boosting employee morale and productivity.
