Summary
My chosen product is healthy multicultural food, which should be provided to the customers of Active Retirement nursing home. Currently, the nursing home is offering a narrow range of dishes; hence, customers are unsatisfied. Moreover, in some cases, food quality is relatively poor, which is unacceptable for a nursing home.
Strengths
- Multicultural healthy food represents high-quality nutrition, which may improve customers’ wellness.
- The product includes a wide variety of dishes, which should improve patient satisfaction. Higher food diversity should also contribute to a more balanced diet (Ogden, 2018).
- Product frameworks guarantee the usage of ingredients at the peak of their quality and freshness.
Weaknesses
- Food costs may increase due to the usage of ingredients of higher quality and diversity. It may also be challenging to maintain the supply of certain ingredients.
- The cooking process will become more time-consuming, and more people should be involved.
- A multicultural healthy food menu may require higher qualifications of the chef-cook and staff, which may also increase the costs.
Opportunities
- Nursing home residents may achieve healthier lifestyles, improving outcomes and general wellness.
- Higher quality of nutrition may improve customer engagement and lead to higher customer loyalty.
- Satisfaction levels of family members and medical professionals should improve, launching the word-of-mouth effect, which may increase the audience even further.
