According to the speech by Andrew Peek How a personal narrative limits your future, it is commonly believed that an idea is something that keeps changing and can be influenced, but the story is a fixed scenario written once. Additionally, it is often thought that the opportunity to create a story is only for entrepreneurs and artists. However, any person can rewrite the story by adding the ideas on the top of the story. Creating is for everyone, and each person has the opportunity to change their own life, making him or herself the central story and adjusting it in relation to their own wishes.
In addition, it is possible to add a new perspective for the consideration of an event if it is impossible to influence the outcome since one’s own attitude is something that a person can always influence independently. Each event is ambiguous and a person can always weigh two points of view on a counterbalance, and it is in such a compromise that ideas are born between them, collecting the most important features from different acceptable outcomes. In this regard, a person is free to choose his or her attitude to a certain situation or to look from a certain perspective, which he or she prefers himself and which will allow to see the variety of possibilities of each story.
In conclusion, I learned that each person can make themselves the main story that they can review and explore. A person can build his or her own unique story, adding new ideas to it, on which the outcome will depend and which can change the whole scenario of what is happening in the life of one. Moreover, there is an opportunity to look at ongoing or already occurred events from different perspectives, finding non-standard or individually interesting characteristics.
