The article details a research study that explores the challenges that are associated with the implementation of research-based evidence. The research article notes that implementing evidence into practice depends on several factors such as “the nature of the evidence being used, the quality of context, and the type of facilitation that is required to enable the change process” (Rycroft‐Malone, Harvey, Seers, Kitson, McCormack & Titchen, 2004, p.913). The information that is provided by the article could be helpful to a wide range of practitioners who practice physical, social, or practical sciences (Reid & Schram, 2012). In the field of human service professionals, it is common for practitioners to conduct studies with the view of improving the welfare of families, communities, or social workers (Lapaige, 2010). This study provides domestic dispute professionals with ways of implementing the evidence of collaborative research studies on human services.
“An Exploration of the Factors that Influence the Implementation of Evidence into Practice” is an article that is authored by nursing professionals but it can easily be applied to the area of domestic disputes. For example, the authors of this article sought to find out how the study’s results can be applied to “multi-professional relationships and collaboration” (Rycroft‐Malone et al., 2004, p. 918). The article is useful to a domestic dispute professional, because he/she might obtain useful and credible information on how to implement evidence into day-to-day practices. For instance, the article urges professionals to be very considerate of their organizational contexts when implementing research-based evidence.
