Leadership Challenges in 2020: Meeting Future Goals

Leadership is not just a word, it is a quality. It is one of the most important qualities of success in both organizational aspect and situational progress (Kuhn 2007). In other words, leadership can be defined as the process or the social influence that comes for one person who tries to channel the support of other persons for the successful completion of a task. There are a number of popular leadership theories which deals with the style of leadership. In the fast changing World we can surely predict that many major changes are going to take place in the next ten years. The technical advances are defining the world of industry and how the leaders are running the industry. This question poses a real threat to the leadership of the future. What will be the real facet of the future leaders who will determine the organizational policies?

As discussed, the decision making processes and all the duties of the management will be changed drastically. With the increase of competition and the emergence of more technologies corporate world will face much more uphill competition than ever. For confronting all the challenges of future, the organizations have to take all the necessary steps from now. And they will have to take more than one necessary steps (Roy 2008).

In the very first, they will have to choose employees who are flexible enough to learn different tricks that will be necessary for surviving in the huge competitive atmosphere. The decision-makers even have to alter the management structures to introduce newer technologies that are coming up in the fields of information technology. In any discussion of organizational structure, the decision making process gets the most important point. The development of any organization mainly depends on the people who make the decisions. They will have to decide all the important aspects that the organization needs to survive the competition that is coming in the near future (Kuhn 2007).

With the choice of efficient workers and installing new systems for the corporation the organization completes their first step. After that they have to take all the new additions throughout the vein of the organization and this becomes one of the toughest tasks of the reformation. The leaders of the organization have to take the responsibility to change the working system of it only to make the organization more saturated for future. The leader has to decide about the working principle and the processes, and will try to slowly make all the workers work in the aspect (Roy 2008). This is one of the most target oriented steps that can be taken by the leaders. Another very important aspect will be the training process of the employees. After the leaders decide what will be all the new technologies they will have to implant, they must organize retraining for all the employees. This will give them ample opportunity to polish their skills again and also help them to get introduced to more cutting edge technologies. This will be the most important task by the leaders for the organization (Roy 2008).

Conclusion

The near future is a challenge for all the sectors of organization and one of the most important ways of tackling the problem is to deal with the aspects that the organization needs to improve with vision and substantial skill. A perfect leader of future will have to possess both and then he can lead an organization towards prosperity (Kuhn 2007).
