Devouring every word of them, selecting useful ideas of two richest people in the world can make one’s way to success one pace closer.
On watching a program that present Bill Gates and Warren Buffett socializing with the students at the University of Nebraska, it is possible to state that the experience that is shared by the “financial experts” as they are called by one of the students is really valuable and useful. Though all the ideas of the men are full of professional wisdom and intelligence, it is possible to define the one we find the most useful. It is, so to speak, a mixture of two ideas: the first is by Bill Gates who answers Mike’s question about the beginning of his career and the habits that are necessary to develop to become an efficient and successful professional and the second is Buffett’s answer to the same question. Gates said that he had had to conquer his habit of doing everything at the last moment, since procrastination was very harmful for professional development. Buffett determines the most important habit as following your passion when making a decision, which can be interpreted as the development of intuition and independence of a businessman. These pieces of advice can be useful in all spheres of human life, professional sphere included.
Though the difference between us and such influential people as Gates and Buffett is evident, it does not mean that we are helpless in the areas that the men tackle, mainly leadership and help to other people. During the next five years, we would like to help the surrounding by means of our practical example. If we demonstrate the benefit of practical application of Gates and Buffett’s advice, people will follow our example, they will listen to their intuition and they will conquer procrastination habit. As for leadership skills, we find such form of exchange of experience that was presented in the program very useful, so, it is possible to organize suchlike meetings with successful businessmen and other professionals that will be beneficial for our students.
It is always unpleasant to think about the end of life, still, it is inevitable. The only consolation that can come is satisfaction with your life. For us, being successful means to develop professional skills, that means to be able to find correct passions to be guided by, those that are mentioned by Buffett. The famous investor and businessman also mentions that when he needs a good piece of advice, he looks at his own reflection in the mirror and knows that he is the best person to get advice from. The confidence in our own professionalism and grounded trust to our professional intuition will be the best proof of our success in life.
