Telegraph: Role in the Development of Communication

The telegraph is a turning point in the history of communication, as it completely changed its nature. In particular, before the invention of this technology, the transmission of information was possible only through letters, which was extremely slow. The telegraph has become a technology that has given humanity the opportunity for fast long-distance communication. This topic is relevant to the present day since technology is the predecessor of the phone and the Internet, which allows us to trace the history of the development of communication.

It is known about this topic that soon after the invention of the telegraph, telegraph stations and networks began to appear. Soon they united the whole world into a large network for the transmission of messages, including transcontinental ones. It is important to keep in mind when researching this topic that telegraphs existed for a relatively short period of time, from the mid-19th to the early 20th century. Additionally, the telegraph played an important role in the military conflicts of that time.
