Telehealth Policy for Healthcare Effectiveness

The use of communications to deliver long-distance medical services is known as telehealth policy. The policy implemented in the UHealth Tower, Miami, Florida, has made it easier for patients to reach their healthcare providers from a distance. Nurses can assist patients and provide recommendations regarding their conditions. Thus, the paper aims to discuss telehealth policy and review the relevant details about the impact on the organization and effectiveness of healthcare services.

The policy influences how it is implemented since the telecommunications systems need to be of a certain caliber. The systems must be sophisticated, expertly designed, and error-free, and the regulation will call for thorough system implementation. It will also detail testing and extensive continuous assistance to reduce mistakes and boost patient satisfaction. Since nurses will be able to identify and prevent illnesses in more patients in remote areas, telehealth influences clinical care (Bashir & Bastola, 2018). It will benefit the patients of UHealth Tower since those in rural areas will have easy access to a nurse who can assist them in handling emergencies.

Since nurses will now care for more patients each day, the workflow will grow. For instance, a patient experiencing a heart attack can speak with a nurse directly, who will provide guidance. Patients suffering from heart attacks typically pass away while traveling to the hospital. As a result, the technology will let people conveniently obtain medical treatments while saving lives. Organizational policies, such as defining the scope of healthcare services provided to patients, are necessary for telehealth. To reduce mistakes, nurses must be taught how to utilize telecommunications systems (Bashir & Bastola, 2018). Other regulations cover methods for evaluating the effectiveness of delivering medical care remotely and procedures to correct mistakes that could happen when administering therapy in UHealth Tower.

Telehealth policy refers to the use of communications to provide long-distance medical treatments. Patients now find it simpler to contact their healthcare professionals from a distance due to the policies at the UHealth Tower. Clinical care is impacted by telehealth because it will benefit patients by giving people who live in remote places fast access to nurses who can help them in an emergency. Telehealth requires organizational rules that specify the healthcare services offered to patients. Regulations also address techniques for assessing the efficiency of providing medical care remotely and steps to repair errors that could occur when giving therapy.
