Introduction
In a business environment, the definition of a project does not differ from the general definition of this concept. A project is a list or series of tasks that must be performed sequentially or in parallel to achieve a specific result. A project cannot be a single task, even if it is global and requires a lot of resources and time.
Discussion
Usually, one person cannot work on a project, so diverse specialists gather around the project, often divided into groups. The project always has a defined result, which can be adjusted as individual tasks are completed. Projects are unique compared to operations; they have a beginning and an end. Due to the project, customers have an exceptional finished product, fully completed. This product is not intended for replication and duplication on the conveyor. Operations are continuous activities that allow you to create the same products or provide the same services repeatedly (Schwalbe, 2017). Such products and services are not unique, and the demand of a broad layer of society for them is high.
The initiating process group is a critical stage during which project participants and customers share their plans and ideas about the project. The most important task of this group is to define goals as precisely as possible, weighing ideas and practical possibilities. The planning group speaks for itself: its primary mission is to plan the timing and break the project into clusters and parts. In this part, the concretization of goals should reach the limit, and the goals should be clear to all project participants. The executing group is diverse in its sub-stages and includes establishing communication with all project parts and quality control (Adobe Communications Team, 2022). The most important task is to develop the team and establish its relationship with stakeholders if necessary.
Conclusion
The monitoring and controlling process group is the direct project management group. The most important task here is clarifying and eliminating emerging errors and quality control. The closing process group makes the most critical tasks for itself the official end of the project, the dissolution of the team, and arranging meetings for the presentation.
