The Evidence-Based Practices in Business

Introduction

Quality improvement is a process in which the effectiveness of all existing systems in the business is evaluated. Changes usually take place based on a structured approach and qualitative analysis of all work areas of the company. To organize successful improvements, regular data collection and analysis are accomplished. Business quality improvement processes influence customer needs and improve the company’s performance in its field. In this way, the preservation of one’s customers, loyalty to the business and the product occurs, and the growth of new interested parties.

The Problem and Issue

Today, the labor and product market is changing quickly, bringing numerous business problems. Regulation and compliance in business and economics is almost the most common problem for all companies. The main problem is to comply with these rules, usually established by the government, and actively influence the company’s future (Rousseau & Have, 2022). In particular, most restrictions are imposed and often lead to fines and financial sanctions.

In the same vein, these rules are worth it because such fines very often affect the economic state of the business and what processes take place during that period. The issue with these processes is that those specific instructions that directly relate to business processes are usually provided for the company (Rousseau & Have, 2022). Accordingly, the regulation in such a case will be challenging to comply with that.

A compliance issue manifests itself in a company with certain small events. Such a thing is directed at the employee and his violation, which should carry an appropriate punishment. This term can often be used to talk about corruption, which is usually present in business, or the overly contemptuous attitude of the boss towards his employees. However, regulation and compliance have many problems since one person can significantly affect the company’s image. The company’s status can quickly fall due to the wrong behavior of employees and the disclosure of this process, that is, the direct punishment of the employee, which cannot be kept silent (Rousseau & Have, 2022). At the same time, that situation is an immediate threat to the financial and reputational state of the company.

Today, our company faces these problems because of the correct regulation of the business process. The new government’s introduction of taxes affects the decrease in profit of this company. Such questions and issues arise in economic terms and mainly concern the product itself (Rousseau & Have, 2022). As a result, VAT increases hurt sales and reduce the total amount of profit. The main task is to develop a high-quality plan that will well decide how companies should behave in such situations.

The Need for a Quality Improvement Initiative

Small businesses often face the problem of bureaucratic red tape and non-compliance with the rules. All this is due to the too-high bar the government sets while promoting. The policy is mainly to comply with all the laws. Most often, it is difficult for enterprises to develop because about 40% face obstacles that look like the correct design of their business processes (Evans, 2020). Obstacles usually come from obtaining a permit to trade or a regular license. Such bureaucratic obstacles lead to business stagnation and slow down all processes that could develop actively before that. Those busy businesses can sometimes get stopped precisely because of regulation and compliance.

Research in Quality Improvement

Previous research on such a topic is essential for several reasons. First, the company can understand from which point it should start moving and, in general, where the process changes. Such experience will facilitate the team’s work and provide all the necessary resources (Evans, 2020). Second, they can look at the improvement process and understand where they can stop and analyze the company and what things are familiar or different. Such a process can bring many new ideas about what things need clear improvement. Moreover thirdly, since the research already has a particular result, it will be possible to adjust one’s capabilities accordingly and see where the process can be changed or avoided.

Preliminary research is also essential from the point that improvement is necessary for the company. This knowledge will fully understand which processes have become more efficient, automatically transfer it to business, and substitute everything (Evans, 2020). The research will enable the company to best look at situations and what possible outcomes will affect the development of business processes and the problem at hand.

Necessary Steps to Implement

Evidence-Based Practice, or EBP, is a process based on various pieces of evidence to improve business processes. Such a system must qualitatively analyze how the business works and what should be done to introduce improvements and make appropriate decisions (Components of Evidence-Based Practice, 2020). This practice is essential because it aims to solve business problems to improve one’s product effectively. Such a system contains three components that will help to qualitatively analyze the design and make quality improvements in regulation and compliance: best available evidence, knowledge and skills, and customers’ wants and needs. The goal of EBP is to quickly incorporate the best available research with experience and all the benefits for employees and customers. At the same time, it is a mistake to add all the crazy theories to develop all the ideas and choose the best.

Best Available Evidence

In this case, analyzing an existing example of a company with a similar product is best. That will allow company to understand how they solve their problems and better understand the best decisions (Min et al., 2018). The best choice would be to gather a certain number of companies with a complete analysis of their business plan and, in total, make separate conclusions for the plan (Components of Evidence-Based Practice, 2020). If such practice is not enough or it is impossible to do such an analysis, it is worth turning to the literature.

That it is worth making an open data collection of various studies, the result of which will be able to explain all aspects of solving the company’s bureaucratic problems. It is important to note that there will be quite a lot of such literature. That it is also worth highlighting a separate part of people who will be able to filter such studies and openly choose the best qualitatively (Components of Evidence-Based Practice, 2020). Accordingly, such a process can take much time but will have a possible even better result and solution to the problem than issues with company analysis.

Knowledge and Skills

The Evidence-Based Practice strategy is primarily based on correctly disseminating information among certain professional workers. That is, it is essential that individual people, who have a crucial role in the processes, should be able to spread their knowledge and simultaneously acquire new ones actively (Components of Evidence-Based Practice, 2020). Accordingly, in this way, better opportunities for solving the problem and improving the business, in general, will be developed because personal evidence and evidence practice play a significant role in properly managing a business and actively developing all opportunities for this.

On the other hand, it turns out that such a method is also the training of individual people in the company; that is, it is essential that people who already have existing knowledge for their position and also can actively solve the issues of other places (Components of Evidence-Based Practice, 2020). At the same time, a person who wants to grow professionally must have a personal desire. As a person who will receive new ones based on already known knowledge, this will allow the company to improve and find the right solutions.

Customers’ Wants and Needs

That is also critical in properly pumping business; such things are often discussed in advance. Due to the rapid development of society and various products, such knowledge about the opinions of product buyers is essential. Accordingly, it is necessary to have special people who can do their research and discover ideas that can improve the business and the company (Components of Evidence-Based Practice, 2020). Along with this, it is worth understanding that for also need to create a separate team. They will understand and be aware of all the processes that affect customers and their experience.

Evaluation on the Quality Improvement Result

First, such an assessment should occur at the very end and be based on whether the company’s situation has deteriorated. In particular, that should pay significant attention to the issue of increasing product sales and recognition. It will also be worth paying attention to the increase in customers and positive reviews. If these things were present, that did everything perfectly, and the work was good.

Conclusion

To start actively working on business transformation and overcoming problems, it is worth considering all possible ways and strategies to improve quality. It is essential to develop a good plan for solving problems, and people should use Evidence-Based Practice, which has several steps, to better build their ideas and find the right solutions. Such advice allows for understanding and reviewing previous research issues and finding the company’s best and most effective solutions.
