From a course on technology visualization, I learned for myself the historical and social importance of the Internet. It was extremely interesting to trace the history of this channel of information from Soviet satellites to the modern communication environment (Geoghan, 2020). Web browser configuration capabilities proved to be a useful skill. Setting up ad blockers and spyware is very important for a comfortable and safe Internet experience.
The ability to view the properties of each file in Explorer is a necessary feature of the Windows system. The file properties are opened by selecting the appropriate column after clicking the right mouse button on the file. In the properties one can find out the unique properties of the file and the date of its creation and last update. One can also adjust file access and security settings.
One of the most useful tools for me in Microsoft Word is the ability to choose the font style and features of its style. Varying the sizes and designs of printed text helps visualize information and distribute it in an accessible way. For example, italic or bold typeface focuses the reader’s attention on certain fragments of text. Another unique way to emphasize text is to thin the space between letters, also called kerning.
In Microsoft Excel, the ability to choose a design for cells seems to be the most useful feature. The choice of unique colors for table fragments organizes attention and movement of the eye around the table. Moreover, in Excel there is an option that allows one to select the table frames themselves. The design of the cell can also be programmed to change depending on the given conditions.
The Format feature in Microsoft Access allows one to change the visual presentation of the entered information. The format expression is a special instruction through which the given information line is passed. The format is a function with the given arguments. These types of data are ranked in different time periods, from a year to a second.
