Can Pollution Free Corporations Exist?

Introduction

A multinational corporation refers to an enterprise that delivers services in at least two countries. In addition to this, a multi-national corporation manages production establishments. These companies through the processes of production have been known to cause pollution to the environment of the host country and at the same time working with the community. One such company is the team of Green Mountain Energy Company and Nuon.

Descriptions of Green Mountain Energy Company and Nuon

The Nuon corporation is a prominent independent,. Multinational oriented enterprise that is involved in the marketing sales and distribution of energy and water. This corporation is said to be one of the photovoltaic solar energy investor globally.

In the Netherlands Nuon has over 500 solar power plants and supplies electricity to its Green Mountain energy. It owns and operates PVUSA in the United States. The PVUSA is located in two areas, in Davis and California.

The Nuon works to install Solar panels that are pollution free in the United States. The Nuon has had the advantage of working with the Green mountain energy company to provide pollution-free electricity. The Nuon Corporation has gained a name as a builder and owner of clean energy in the United States. This has helped the corporation in its marketing due to its environment friendly electricity.

The environmental issue that was facing the host community is lack of pollution free electricity. The production of electricity causes industrial air pollution. The Texas people where this pollution-free electricity was installed showed great interest in pollution free electricity. This led to the teaming up of the upper Kirby District Foundation the Green Mountain Energy Company and nuon so as to harness the power of the sun in order to generate pollution-free electricity. This resulted to a solar facility known as Green Mountain Energy (SM) at the upper Kirby District. The facility is said to be a commercial scale 432KW solar energy. Electricity generated from this project would be delivered to the Texas electric grid.

The issue of the need to have pollution-free electricity was solved by producing environment-friendly electricity. The Big Texas sun club was formed that enabled customers t provide monetary support. This support would help to install other solar facilities in Texas and created commitment of the people to clean energy.

The club has also contributed to construction development and maintenance of new solar facilities in Texas. In addition, it has promoted statewide education about solar energy.

From these initiatives, Nuon has acquired new customers who would like to have pollution-free electricity. This is due to the good name, the Netherlands’s company has made for itself. Pollution-free electricity has saved on costs that may be incurred in either solving environmental problems or even global warming problems. This prevents CO2 pollution of the air. This has led to establishment of other projects in Dallas and Cleveland. More business has resulted for the corporation.

This corporation has set a very good example for other corporations that might want to be pollution-free in their production. One lesson that can be learnt from this corporation is the need to b e pollution-free. This will require partnerships with local organizations and communities to ensure success. It provides both clean energy and education to the public. Creation of awareness creates responsibility of the public to prevent environmental pollution. The sources of energy used include wind, solar, water, geothermal, biomass and cleaner burning natural gas.

The Acme motors can follow these steps to ensure environment that is pollution free. It will require to work with the community to win their monetary support and support in education programs. Sources of energy to be used will need to be pollution free. The Acme Motors can also establish local clubs to facilitate more community initiatives to improve their environment. This promotes a sense of responsibility in all those in the project; the corporation, its workers and the community.
