A good, loving, and all-powerful God allows people to suffer, especially Christians, so that they can grow to love Christ more and establish their faith in him. In effect, God allows people to suffer so that they can understand his providence when he comes through for them. Notably, one tends to look for inner solace and hope after a lot of pain and suffering, which can only be attained by the comfort and peace of knowing that God is in control, and things will eventually become better by the day. In effect, we would not know what God is capable of doing and how good God is if one does not suffer and later emerge victoriously.
I have seen evil take place from time to time. One particular instance that captivates me up to now is a mother strangling her child to death. At one stage in life, a young classmate got pregnant and would not come to terms with the pregnancy. So, the girl would hide the pregnancy and camouflage it by putting on dark hooded sweaters. Being that she did not want anyone to know, she suddenly gave birth in a toilet in her home and strangled her child to death to avoid being caught. She later disposed of the baby’s body in disposable garbage bags.
Normally, I am very sympathetic when I see people suffering. Most times, I help where I can, although it is quite difficult to be of help to everyone that is suffering. People that suffer are all over, and their needs vary. Thus, there is no effective way to help people suffering, besides offering comfort and showing support. At times, what such people need could be financial support or any other need that could be hard to meet. However, I concur with the statement that my morality is mine and mine alone, and it is not in my place to judge the morality of others. I believe that no one should judge another person at any given time. In fact, what one might perceive to be moral might be immoral to another person. Essentially, people sin differently; therefore, no sin is greater than the other.
