Communication: Critical Thinking Habits

Introduction

A system of judgments called critical thinking is used to evaluate events, interpret phenomena, and analyze things and information before coming to unbiased conclusions. A person with developed critical thinking possesses a range of abilities, including the capacity for observation, the justification of one’s viewpoint, concentration on information study, and versatility in using analytical abilities (Elder & Paul, 2020). Planning and communication are the habits of critical thinkers that are most crucial since they enable them to interact with others and accomplish their goals.

Discussion

Planning is a tool that helps people allocate their time more precisely and, as a result, become more productive. People assigned themselves tasks that they must complete during the plan’s preparation. I selected planning as the main habit because, without it, people cannot succeed in their professional or personal lives. People must multitask in the modern world, but it is impossible to finish everything and set priorities without a clear plan. I use planning because many tasks in my life need to be prioritized, streamlined, and given a time frame. The number and variety of tasks can sometimes make it seem impossible to finish them, anxiety arises, and the desire to start is absent. It is easier psychologically for me to change the sequence and stop thinking about all the tasks at once when there is a clear plan, and all the tasks are written down.

Since we live in an information age and communication skills are essential for success in all areas of life, modern society cannot be imagined without them. I believe that communication is an essential habit of critical thinkers since it is impossible to develop relationships with people without this ability, just as setting tasks and reporting at work are crucial components. I will apply this skill at work because communicating effectively and presenting information are skills that every team leader needs. It is also crucial in daily life because poor communication skills are frequently the root of interpersonal misunderstandings.

Conclusion

In conclusion, critical thinking is an essential skill of a modern person. Among the skills of critical thinkers, planning and communication are central. The first allows a person to have time to do many tasks and, at the same time, use time effectively. Communication is vital in any area of life because people are social beings. Both of these abilities are important to me, and I will work to develop and use them in my work, academic work, and personal life.
