Hardware and Software for Health Tactical

Major Hardware and Software Component Systems

Health Tactical company plans to use Amazon Relational Database (RDS) and MySQL as the key software components in delivering products to their customers. The RDS is imperative to allow the company to launch its products in cloud-based storage. This type of storage will guarantee Health Tactical safety of their data as it is less prone to data loss. Along with preventing loss of information, the RDS will allow Health Tactical to upscale and easily set up the relational database in the cloud. This easy setup will be followed by an easy collection of predefined relationships that enhance activities such as order entries. Additionally, RDS has other benefits, such as automation of tasks and possession of the T Type instances. This software system provides a burstable performance and saves time during backups, patching, or provisioning (AlHinai, 2020). The second software type that Health Tactical plans to use is MySQL, allowing the company access and open sources as this system can be easily tailored.

Besides software components, Health Tactical proposes to use Cisco switch and router, overhead monitors, and laptops as the key hardware components in executing its operations. Cisco switch and router will be critical components as they will provide the network needed to run the company’s activities. These two components will be linked by a CAT 6A cable which allows Wireless Access Points despite the router being integrated into the warehouse’s thick wall and transmits data at a higher frequency. Additionally, the company plans to use overhead monitors, which will be used with industrial-grade Bluetooth headsets when taking orders (Jiang et al., 2019). Along with these hardware sets, there are other components, such as desktops, laser printers, and laptops, which will enhance the orienting of receipts and provide a chance to work remotely, respectively.

Key Design Considerations

Health Tactical will apply the latest designs in their hardware setup. Firstly, the company plans to integrate Intel Core i7 processors, which will allow the company to diversify into other cities. Secondly, the company plans to use a network bandwidth ranging from 50 Gbps to 100 Gbps, achieved by applying the Public IPs and VPC. Thirdly, the company will need the internet to ensure its fast operations. Fourthly, a server room will be set to ensure that information is stored safely, and it can serve as an alternative to cloud-based storage. The fifth design is colling, where the server room will need a computer room air conditioner (CRAC) to ensure that it is cooled and data is protected (Jiang et al., 2019). The sixth designs include desktop and mobile usage, where the company plans to use Samsung Galaxy S22 for running its businesses and Dell XPS all in one computer.

Along with hardware designs, the company has a well-planned software design. The MySQL for the company will be downloaded from the software’s official link, and only the version 8 X64 bit was found viable for the company’s operations. The second design is on the Amazon RDS for MySQL, which Health Tactical will find in the preconfigured settings of MySQL. The RDS will come with a space of 2TB for usage and 20GB for backup (Jiang et al., 2019). Based on the company’s website, it will use a SaaS e-commerce platform that allows email marketing, website design, product management, and integration of SEO tools.
