Problem description
There is a problem with meeting new people and making a new friendship that is essential for an outgoing personality. Even though conducive environments can be provided, there is still a problem in initiating and sustaining a conversation, especially with strangers. There is a certain fear of rejection that comes whenever I encounter new people in my daily life. In most of my activities, I like doing my things. I do not like other people interfering with my privacy.
This has affected my personality in the sense that I only have a few friends who contributed significantly to our friendship. Without their efforts perhaps I would be having no friends other than relatives. At home, I do have my mother and one sister only. These are the people that I interact with most of the time. Otherwise, people from outside do not have a good interaction with me.
Strategy for solving the problem
Important information needs to be gathered on personality development. This means that appropriate psychological and sociology books should be used in the search for information relevant to personality development. This is because to be an outgoing person, I would be required to develop my personality towards improvements in self-esteem and self-image. The information would also be obtained from friends and people who already have outgoing personalities. This would be achieved through observation and interviews with the people to ensure that first-hand information concerning how they developed their personality and how they manage it in their daily lives.
The library and the internet would also be essential in providing secondary information on how to develop an outgoing personality. The information obtained would be used to analyze how different people develop outgoing character in their lives. The information would also highlight the important factors that determine the development of an outgoing personality. The information gathered would also comprise important theories of personality development. This would be fundamental in the learning of techniques and important strategies that people use to develop strong outgoing personalities.
Evaluation of information
Information gathered in the research would be evaluated on several criteria.
The first criteria would be validity. This would be achieved by analyzing the information to find out how correct it is in the context of personality development.
Secondly, the information would be evaluated on how current it is to the study. The research would aim to find the most recent information on outgoing personality in different people both male and female.
Using information to solve the problem
In using the information obtained to find solutions to the problem, it would be important to compare what would have been gathered and the current behavior. Specific behavior patterns would be compared between my personality and those who already have an outgoing personality. It is based on such comparisons that it would be possible to identify the specific behaviors lacking in me that deter me from being an outgoing person.
After finding the behaviors it would also be important to develop a plan in which the missing behaviors would be adopted in my daily lifestyle. As I search for solutions, it would be important to take into consideration how first it would be to adopt the specific behaviors that would lead to the development of an outgoing personality. The easier the behaviors would be to adopt the faster it would be to copy them and utilize them in interactions that would lead to the acquisition of an outgoing character.
While looking for solutions, it would also be vital to consider the compatibility of the behaviors sought to my daily life activities. It would be essential that the behaviors be in line with my daily activities to provide a better opportunity of using them to socialize and develop an outgoing personality. The environment would be a very important aspect of the solutions. It would matter very much if the environment is rich in interactions that facilitate growth towards an outgoing person. An environment where there are so many people who are approachable and social is important for an outgoing person.
However, when the environment proves to be limiting in terms of people and social interactions, it means that the development of an outgoing personality would face challenges since there is a lack of support.
The readiness of the mind towards personality development would also be a crucial factor in the consideration of the solutions to the problem. A ready mind would focus on the key factors necessary for the movement towards an outgoing personality. Otherwise, a mind that is preoccupied with other things would not be conducive for growth towards an outgoing person. The correct usage of the information gathered from reliable sources would be fundamental in the process towards becoming an outgoing individual in the future. It is important to underscore the fact it is the environment and behavioral experiences that would determine interactions with people and hence the development of an outgoing personality.
