The first book, devoted to the issue, was written almost three thousand years ago (Ayurvedic Medicine: An Introduction, n.d).

However, it is still relevant and people still use practices described there. However, from the video it becomes obvious that nowadays it is rather modern and well organized practice which attracts hundreds of people all over the world. It should be said that I did not have much information about this issue before watching the video. Moreover, my image of Ayurvedic medicine was based on some traditional prejudices and stereotypes and was associated with low quality and primitive services. However, this video changed this image completely.
