The importance of evaluating the company’s work in the area aligns with the current challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic during which the trends in healthcare have shifted, with the increased need to access services remotely as well as receive emotional support, and UnitedHealth Group adjusted its procedures to meet such needs (CDC, 2020). The example set by the organization enables a favorable work environment that leads to higher employee productivity as the latter feel supported and cared for. It is expected that other companies will follow the UnitedHealth Group in terms of considering the needs of workers as the demand for quality, affordable, and accessible care has increased.
