In the post, the author brilliantly explores the use of the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle to reduce the occurrence of hypothermia in newborns by delaying baths to 24 hours after birth. The cycle is instrumental for implementing small but consistent quality improvement projects to bring changes in practice and reduce the occurrence of serious neonatal conditions in the first hours of children’s lives (Afroze et al., 2020). The cycle will allow to check the effectiveness of interventions in real-time and adjust as soon as the need for them is identified.
