Introduction
In today’s world, flight frequency has significantly increased, which is why the question of modernized protection and tracking of air transport has arisen. NextGen air system is an air transport service system that is designed to modernize U.S. airspace. The primary objectives of this system are to provide better performance, efficiency, and safety for U.S. aviation. It is essential to mention that the NextGen air system is not a single technology but a system of related products (Federal Aviation Administration, n.d.a). That is, the NextGen air system includes procedures, programs, and systems designed to enhance air traffic control and safety. Modernization leads to increased passenger safety, the rapid development of aviation and economy, and travel conditions. Thus, it is essential to highlight the six main goals of the Next Gen air system plan.
Goals
Continuous updating of the purposes is vital to guarantee that the system is relevant. It is essential to note that the first goal of the Next Gen air system plan is to conduct an upgrade that is designed to provide a flexible yet reliable aerospace infrastructure. This will enable it to meet the demands of potential customers. In this way, to ensure the commercialization of airspace and air mobility (Federal Aviation Administration, n.d.a). At the same time, the second goal is to ensure the safety of flight paths. For example, fares have been introduced to regulate airlines, and the main routes on which individual carriers are assigned have been determined (Federal Aviation Administration, n.d.a). There is also constant training for the airlines and improved safety of the vehicles. Accordingly, the second objective of increasing safety is to enhance these processes.
Moreover, capacity enhancement is the third purpose of the Next Gen air system plan. This is because airspace constraints have affected flight delays and noncompliance with vehicle schedules. Accordingly, aviation management had to be increased to satisfy potential clients’ demands. Thus, the third goal is to expand and improve efficient routes. The fourth goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and the NextGen air system will reduce carbon emissions by 16 million tons by 2023 (Federal Aviation Administration, n.d.b). At the same time, the NextGen air system’s other aim is to minimize fuel expectation and energy and noise emissions, meaning that less noisy aircraft need to be developed. The sixth purpose is to use and enhance new airspace systems. This is essential in order to improve the communication system between airlines, airports, and other critical components (Federal Aviation Administration, n.d.b). Thus, optimizing these resources will not only avoid the problems associated with a lack of communication but also improve the performance of the Next Gen air system.

Hence, the Next Gen air system plan offers an advancement of the existing system. The creation of a flexible aerospace industry will allow a rapid response to challenges. At the same time, trajectory safety tracking allows controlling the level of training of specialists and flight vehicles. Thus, it has a positive influence on passenger safety. Additionally, improved capacity will provide for the demand resulting from constant globalization. However, reducing fuel use and emissions is an investment in the environmental component of the overall development of the planet. Finally, to achieve the high efficiency of the Next Gen air system, it is essential to enhance the communication system between all parties.
