The Varieties of Religious Experience by W. James

People are usually concerned about the surrounding phenomena and events influencing their lives. James (2009) describes the most common questions related to the nature of history and the meaning of its importance. The answers can be diverse as every individual has specific beliefs and unique experiences. Religion usually consists of these two questions, and some people think the Bible is the founder of the spiritual aspect of human life (James, 2009). This source can ensure people that they should stay ethical and value the thoughts of others. Grudem (2022) shows that the Bible suggests that people should study the whole life and religions guides in this process. Some individuals prefer to stay away from religion and avoid spiritual traditions and beliefs, but it is important to be able to accept different opinions and avoid judgments.

The religious experience shows the level of intellect and the nature of the concept. Educated people always respect their surroundings’ moral differences and do not try to change their minds. It is crucial to get rid of the cool blood as it may harm society. When this step is followed, religious people should know how to express sympathy but be less intrusive. Non-religious people can be affected by the condemnation from strangers, and by staying prepared for unpredictable situations, the level of negativity can be decreased. James (2009) shows a specific example of the fashion industry where clothes strongly connect with human sexual life. The appearance of the person can show their personality, that is why people in the past did not have extraordinary outfits that caught the attention of other people in the street or specific places. Consequently, individuals should understand the importance of religion and be able to accept the positions of others to increase the spiritual experience.
