“Trump Administration Asks Supreme Court to Strike down Affordable Care Act” by Stolberg

This article narrates the ultimate goal of President Donald Trump government to overturn the Affordable Care Act (ACA) through the Supreme Court. The article indicates that the intention of Trump administration is to replace the Obamacare with an alternative which will be less costly to the national economy (Stolberg, 2020). Further, successive achievement of the goal would render a majority of the Americans with no proper health options. This implies that the move of overturning the medical insurance cover would have long lasting negative effect to the majority of the Americans.

The main points include the need to overturn the ACA through the Supreme Court. The article estimates the controversy regarding the move to the overall health plan for the majority of the Americans (Stolberg, 2020). According to the Senate, shuttering Obamacare would disrupt the overall health insurance coverage to the millions of citizens (Stolberg, 2020). Despite the controversies on the case, the Supreme Court have accepted to continue considering the case.

Ideally, the success of the case will have a profound impact on my profession as a nurse. The collapse of Obamacare will mean that a number of people will fail to achieve affordable health care. Consequently, nurses would suffer as the members of the public would move to private enterprises for medication. The trend would seem overwhelming as the majority may fail to deliver the quality services that are required by a number of clients.

Subsequently, the trend will result in overall poor service delivery in my profession. According to the most recent research, lack of reasonable health care coverage is most likely to make most of the Americans fail to access better health care (Stolberg, 2020). In most cases, the nurses, together with the health care fraternity, would fail to acquire the required finances and resources that are necessary for their service delivery. Therefore, both the Senate and the Supreme Court should work on the best approaches which will limit the success of the case.
