Importance of Business Communication and Management

The modern model of personnel management is impossible without a well-established process of effective communication. There is a radical quantitative and qualitative change in the information sphere, accompanied by a radical transformation of the economic, technical, socio-cultural, and managerial components of the communication processes of post-industrial society. Companies whose economic growth is based on innovative scientific and technological ideas and information transmission are beginning to become leaders. They are faster than others in creating, testing, and using communication technologies in the management process. Effective management of communication processes can become the most important resource of economic development.

Communication in the organization is an integral part of the activities of the manager and subordinate. Some researchers believe that the effectiveness of personnel management is proportional to the point of communication processes in the organization (Heo, Lee, 2019). Carelessly organized communication links increase the time spent solving any issue, make it difficult to achieve results, and generate conflicts and misunderstandings. In addition, internal communications are configured to improve the organization’s management process and therefore reduce the time spent on adapting employees and mitigate resistance to changes on the part of the staff. An organization with customized communication links demonstrates a quick reaction to changes in the labor market, high-quality service, and high motivation of staff.

The manager spends up to 90% of his time communicating with subordinates, colleagues, and other management. 80% of top foreign managers consider communication interaction to be one of the most difficult problems in the organization, and inefficient communications are the main obstacle to the company’s prosperity (Marsen, 2020). However, very often, modern managers neglect the establishment of effective communication flows within the organization due to employment and their negative attitude to communication interaction, which negatively affects the formation of organizational culture as a whole, the image of the head, and the process of manageability of the organization, motivation of employees.

By way of conclusion, the personnel service needs to study the management environment and organizational structure and analyze the availability of existing communications to develop or change the communication strategy within the company. It should be realized that the form that communications take can influence the views of the employee, their motivation, and productivity. It improves the degree of understanding and support of the management policy.
