They argued that such barriers affected the capability of nurses to implement evidence-based practice in the hospitals. The article endeavors to analyze this finding. The article is not able to discern evidence to establish the affiliation between barriers to the research use and application of evidence-based practices in the hospital setting. The data was collected by using the computerized random selection method. The researchers conducted a cross-sectional survey. The research participants belonged to the hospitals of southern California. The researchers identified dependent variables such as practice, attitude, and knowledge or skills.
The article employed hierarchical multiple regression analysis to appraise variables. A few research participants revealed awareness regarding barriers to the research use. The article is significant because it has challenged the hypothesis concerning the inability of the nurses to implement evidence-based practice in their organizations. For example, only 2.7 percent of research participants comprehended barriers to the research use in nursing practice. The article has negated the results of previous research. According to previous studies, there were key barriers to the research use in the hospitals. It affected the capability of nurses to employ evidence-based practice in their organizations. Nurses need to implement evidence-based practice in the hospitals. By using the data, they are able to rationalize their decisions. Nurses also need to exhibit a positive attitude towards evidence-based practice. At the same time, researchers need to find evidence to oppose the findings of this research article. For example, a few nurses may lack opinion with reference to issues such as innovation and research quality. Researchers need to discern evidence to substantiate the prevalence of perceived barriers to research. Researchers can support nurses in the implementation of evidence-based practice in their organizations. The article persuades nurses to exploit the data to improve the quality of service. In this way, nurses are able to improve knowledge and skills pertaining to their profession.
